ASNES- Not going to end this time!

thank you Amon :P

Did too write about the Janjaweed.

The Janjaweed turn from their piracy and start fishing and hunting for a living. The slaves are integrated into their society.

Janjaweed means the "devil's horsemen"...

Anyway, I'll write some story later...

Get to it *Cracks whip*

In the beginning, the Thames area was surrounded by people who were called Britions. The Britions were divided. The tribes of Londonium and Oxfordix were the most hostile, raging terrible primitive wars against eachother.

At last, a Londoniun named Edmund became chieftian. Edmund told his people to stop wondering around, killing people from Oxfordix, but settle down and form a city.

The people of Oxfordix, meanwhile, suffered a terrible disaster when a plague of insects attacked the fertile area around thier boundary. Most fleed to the Londoniuns. All who stayed starved.

Edmund united the tribes together, telling of a dream to expand across the British Isles and sail acrossto the big land he'd only heard of.

Britland was born.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry that was short. I'll PM my orders.

Edmund Blackadder by any chance?

Actually, it was the first name that came into my head. :)

Ah well :P

- again expand over the islands. - meh

Hey Tyrion... You posted a story and many other posts, but you have not posted orders. I've started the update, but I will ask that you send orders ASAP, so that I can use them in the update.

Year 4400 BC ----Update 6----

The Aztex expand extremely quickly around their area, culture flipping most people into their tribe. Their expansion is very quick and alarming to all small tribes around their area, who seem to not know what to do other than join in themselves. They also learn to domesticate Cyotes

The Anjawa decide that it is their duty to attack into the Rajai. They invade with an 10 thousand man army. Their Chief believes that they're divinely inspired by the gods, and that they cannot lose. The Rajai call up their reserves, and a standoff happens between 2 well armed, warlike forces. The Rajai start to march forward from their position in a general attack, and the Anjawa introduced something little seen in the world as of yet. This is a strong right flank, also known to contemporary viewers as a "Scorpion" formation. As the Anjawa took a beating everywhere else, it looked like their right flank was going to break the enemy's left, and the battle could turn to them, however, Rajai scouts popped up on that flank and surrounded the Anjawa right. This put every part of the Anjawa army at hardship, and a general retreat was sounded. The Anjawa army limped back to their homeland, and news spread to the Fendiar of the battle that took place, and their army set in motion.

The Fendiar make a general attack into the Rajai lands to try and aid their southern brethren, the Anjawa, against Rajai expansion. The Fendiar plan of attack is different than the "Must kill enemies" aproach that the Anjawa had. The Fendiar go about killing field guards and having the slaves they whipped join their ranks against the Rajai oppressors. The Fanatical Rajai army came suddenly upon the Fendiar, assailing them on all sides. The Fendiar professionals kept their discipline and huddled together and fought throughout the day, beating off assault after assault on every side.

A Rajai inventor made a new weapon made of hay, and took tar from a tar pit and soaked this gigantic ball of hay, then they took this to a hill overloooking the Fendiar position, lit it aflame, and rolled it down to the invaders in the night, who decided that this was a ball of fire sent not by the enemy, but by the god of fire. They quickly withdrew and found themselves under ambush. They fought the ambush, but quickly found themselves into a general retreat, as the Anjawa a couple of months before them.

Fendiar troops came to a couple of hills which they decided were easilly occupiable against the Rajai, and they took these heights. The Rajai army followed, and seen that they could not take these heights without reinforcements, so they withdrew from this field, and waited for a sign from the golden bird. The Rajai are becoming an extremely warlike race of human.

Babylonia assimilates a tribe or 2 into it's sphere of influence, becoming the first tribal federation in the region. They quickly try to organise theirselves with a government with a code of laws.

Britland also starts assimilating it's nearby neighbors.

Han Oi builds it's first town, and she's a beaut. Han Oi stops sending payments to the Anjawa, however, seeing their weakness in the face of the Rajai. Han Oi arms their border with Anjawa fearful of reprisal.

The Janjaweed have the best economy in the world, and the neighboring tribesmen see this and want a piece of it, so they join the Janjaweed.

The Niasians develop sophisticated stone field working tools using this new type of shiny stone. Should these be put to work on a large scale, the Niasians may see a large boom in population. The Niasian craftsman that makes these tools calls the stone "Bronze", and has self taught himself to mold it into many different forms.

Shadowbound, if you do not send orders this next turn, your country will vanish into the mists of time.

Things are getting fun, much as predicted. Didn't know Anjawa and Fendiar were allies (much less relatives), though. That's going to make things even better.

The rest of the world looks rather bland by comparison. But then again, that was probably how it was meant to be at this stage (Siam being the craddle and all).

Fun stuff!

Exactly.

ORDERS AND STORIES! Update will be on THURSDAY!Let's keep things moving at this pace. It's nice and fast, I think.

Take a guess at my orders? ;)

Im too busy with exams for a few more weeks to do anything else.

I guess that's why your NES is a slug. Good thing your country isn't close to the Rajai ;)

The Hunt

Tejo and his two coyote brothers where hunting, before he got them hunting in the open land was a time and energy consuming thing, they would have to wait for hours hidden in shrubs for preys to come by or hunt with a team with some driving the preys towards the hunters, but since he got his coyote brothers hunting had become much easier.

The coyote brothers were leading the way, with their keen sense of smell they could find a prey with little effort, after a few hours walking Tejo finally sighted the prey that his coyote brothers were leading him to, he then found himself a good place to hide and signaled his coyote brother to begin the hunt.

One coyote set off running and encircling the enemy from one flank and the other from the opposite flank, after a couple of minutes one of the coyotes howled, signaling he was in position, this startled the prey but it did not take off running, thought that would not have mattered, its fate was practically sealed now, within a minute a second howl came, signaling that the second coyote was in position, Tejo then proceeded with a loud whistle, this was the starting signal the coyotes had been trained to respond to, giving start to the final part of the hunt.

The first coyote brother began running towards the prey, the prey whom was already alerted by the howling and the whistle quickly spotted him and began running away from him, roughly in the direction of the second coyote, after a few seconds the second coyote began his run towards the prey, the prey was now forced changed his course, the coyotes were now driving the prey towards the hunter, the hunter drew his bow in anticipation, he would get just one shot, if he missed it the hunt would most likely have failed, he stepped out of the shrubs as soon the prey came in range and fired the arrow at the prey, he hit the prey just below the neck, crippling his front legs and causing it to crash on the ground, rolling and stopping just a few paces in front of Tejo, he quickly drew his flint knife and finished off the dying creature with a coup de grace.

The Coyote Brothers arrived moments later, Tejo shouted out in satisfaction and was soon joined by the howls of his coyote brothers, he then began the Aztex hunting rituals to thank the gods and his coyote brothers for the successful hunt. He began to slaughter the prey, taking his heart and cutting it in two pieces, he then gave one piece to each coyote brother, this ritual had various meanings, the heart stood for the strength and spirit of a creature, giving it to the coyote brothers meant that the hunter wished they gained the strength of the slain prey, so that their next hunt would also be successful, it was also a sign of recognition that it was they whom made the kill possible, Tejo then proceeded giving thanks to mother earth and father sun, the two major deities of the Aztex, he then proceeded by thanking the Ancestor spirits and asking them to guide the soul of the prey safely to the other side. He then Began preparing the carcass to be brought back home and shortly the hunting party began making their way home.

OOC: Pics represent the diagrams that the Aztex draw in the sand to teach the ideal hunt using "Coyete Brothers", however they use rocks and other tokens instead of letters to represent the Coyotes, Prey and Hunter.

Orders:
Build Deer Farms and begin capturing deer and releasing them in the farms to domesticate them, do this by allowing the more docile ones to breed and slaughtering the less docile ones (Selective Breeding).
Expand North and South along the River, Use the Canoes to set up trade between the Aztex river communities.

So anyways, I was thinking about renaming this NES to "Kick ASSNES". I'll give Anjawa an at uh boy for that one.
