ASNES- Not going to end this time!

I know, but how did you sail your ships into the interior of the island of Java?

Iggy's Orders said:
Pull my ships far onto land whenever they are not in use, to protect them from the Janjaweed Pirates.

 cant rember my orders sorry.

@Abaddon- Meh, congrats for managing to destroy my fleet while it was dragged far inland. I'll assume you sent pirate raiders in a suicide attack to smash them apart. So I'll also assume that their remains will still mostly be on Java, so the ships can be (mostly) salvaged.

I'm confused about the colours. Hanoi is just north of Yuumi, right? Hanoi and Rajai are both described as 'Dark Green' but I can only see one Dark Green nation.

Ah I shall have to crush them completly, story later

lol. These ships are more transportation rafts at any rate. They're easilly replaceable. You can make plenty per economy level when you have alot of population.

Rise of the Totem King

After taking out the elder’s White Buffalo’s powers had become total, he was now known as “Great White Buffalo” or GWB, he had now total power and was solely responsible for the decision making process, he called himself “the decider” or “Chief in Command”, but however you put it one thing was sure, his power is absolute and unchallenged.

His power laid largely in his “old guard” a group of people fiercely loyal to him, they might not be the best there are but GWB put loyalty above competence and while that did not produce the greatest amount of results it surely produced the type of results GWB wanted, moving the tribe into the direction he envisioned.

GWB and his Old GuardMen (OGM) were sitting around a fire near the great totem pole and discussing ****.
OGM 1: “Hey man, you know what we should do, we should like totally take the totem pole into battle with us! It would like totally scare the **** out of those ****ers!”
OGM 2: “You stupid ****head, how the **** do you suppose we ****ing do that? It took the ****ing half the village to lift that ****ing piece of wood you stupid dipshit!”
OGM 1: “Hey why the **** do you have to be so negative all the time? **** YOU! You never come up with good idea, you only criticize other’s ideas, get a life you ****ing loser!”
GWB smacks on the head both OGM’s: “Shut the **** up both of you, here’s is what we are going to do, we are gonna build a lot of totems, at least one in each village, and when the enemy tries to raid our villages it will be like SHOCK AND AWE for our enemies when they see our awesome totems, and they will like kneel to us and beg us to come and take over their villages and build awesome totems there too, they will greet us as culture-ators and welcome with flowers and gifts and ****, its going to be like totally awesome.
OGM’s: “Sweet!” “man you are so smart!” “Praise the Ancestors for your wisdom and intelligence!”

Orders: Continue to Build Totem Poles (and weapons with parts of trees not used for totem poles)
Culturally assimilate neighboring tribes, use force to stimulate them to decide to join the tribe whenever necessary.

Gaja gazed around the wreckage.

"How did those blasted minons of Irintava get to our ships when they were here?" he moaned, picking up a pile of broken sticks."

"Maybe they sent in a raider." Nadu suggested.

"Unlikely. They aren't supposed to be good at fighting on land."

"Perhaps they were pirate ninjas. Master fighters, I hear."

"Ninjas?"

"Another time, another place. I hear they live to the north somewhere."

"But most people live to the north. There's nothing to the south."

"Hmm... maybe it's the south then."

"That's what you say sonny!" interrupted a third voice.

"Yes Sanjay?"

"Back in my day, we barely even let the pirates onto the beach! Their feet would touch dry sand and BANG! They're dead! We'd cut 'em down with zero losses on our own side! And back then, we knew how ta build ships- and how to hide 'em too. Nothing like these cheap driftwood disasters you call 'ships'. Yessiree, those were the good 'ol days. Growin' up in constant fear- 'cause ya know, back then you'd never know if you were goin' ta wake up with a unshaven, wild-eyed pirate pilfering through yer house. O' course, we had to be tougher too. I'd fight off a few when I was just a wee little boy- barely out of the crib. Kids these days, yer all a bunch of little soft, stupid weaklin's."

The old man hobbled over to Gaja and shoved at him ineffectually.

"And back in the day, young'ns like you showed some respect. Nowadays, you go around acting like ya can't get pushed over. By Irintava, you darn well near attacked me! Gimme that stick, let me show you how it's done!"

"Um, Sanjay, maybe you should- ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!"

"Come on, you little pansy! Show Sanjay that ya kids can fight nowadays!"

Nadu picked up a stick and slowly blocked each blow- perhaps Sanjay's reflexes weren't what they used to be.

"Ah, ya can't even hit me! That's exactly what's wrong with you kids these days! Yer too reverent of your elders."

Sanjay sighed and leaned down on his stick.

"Wait! Look at that! Ya young'ns should still look at us with reverence for our brains! I'll call this a cane! Now! Get back ta work! Damn kids, always talking and being lazy! Work! Work! I want these ships rebuilt by sundown. And I want some more of 'em for good measure. Don't you be lazy with 'em, make 'em like I said they used to! Faster dangit!"

The Yuumi had been raided. Obviously they were outraged and prepared immediatly for a decapitating and 'breeding' retaliation attack. So all the warrior men and women were gathered, expansion elsewhere was postponed and a plan was planned.

"They live north. We shall go North!" This was met with general cheering.

"Once there, we will decapitate all the men and small children that are male in persuasion. And take their women and bring them here to begin the 'Breeding' program!"

This was met with more enthusiastic cheering, though the women seemed less eager now.

"Oh and we shall also burn their villages and steal their food so we can have a huge feast to honour our triumphs!"

More cheering was had and a general sense of purpose was found, they headed north.

You know, I should be alarmed here, but I'm not. I assure you that I won't change my orders, and would in fact like to point out that taking what I have planned myself into account the upcoming update would be very fun indeed. Hurry up Amon!

Update will be tomarrow night, if I can get everyone's crap in.

The Fendiar have been here in this new land for many years and have seen the passing generations. All those that made the initial migration have been dead and gone, along with even their children. The old ways are followed much less strictly in this new incarnation of the tribe. Much new blood has been added to the ranks and with it comes new ideas, techniques and beliefs. But what does that mean for the Fendiar?

A small conversation between 2 of the older chiefs:

Chief 1: We have gained much these last 50 years, the expansion that my father sat on the council and helped decide proved to be a great thing for the tribe. Much new land was taken and many new smaller tribes where gathered and brought to us. New ways of farming and new crops are being introduced to our people. All seems good in the world.

Chief 2: Yes but what about the old ways. Things have been slipping away, we never thought that much about what our fathers and grandfathers had told us about how things used to be and where we came from but we still listened – well at least most of the time, this new generation completely blows us off and doesn’t think anything can be learnt from the past.

Chief 1: What you say is true but what can we do about it, truly the new ways of doing things seem much more beneficial to our people?

Chief 2: We can at least ingrain in them our people’s story, we may not want to follow things they way they did it in the past but who we are and where we came from is important!

Chief 1: Yes I see what you mean.

Chief 2: There are still some of us old timers that listened to our parents and grandparents keenly and know much of who we used to be and what makes us Fendiar! I shall get in touch with them and start trying to find those of the younger generation that are willing to listen and learn. Those that don’t like to fight that much seem to spend more time thinking and pondering – those are who I shall target and teach.

Thus the history of the Fendiar was started and from then on was passed down from generation to generation mainly to thinkers who generally became known as the “wise-men” of the tribe, they where much sought after for both disputes and general questions about life.

OOC: Orders sent

You can bring that to the bank. (Coincidentally, I work at MPMorgan Chase bank)
