There'll be no difference between my atoms and those of a 15 billion year old blackhole.
Considering that black holes don't contain atoms, that's what's technically known as a "false statement".

Funny thread topic, however, is a athiest afraid of dying? No, some are afraid of what happens AFTER it. Afraid of going from a vibrant living being, to a suspended state of nothingness, afraid of a "complete" end. Not all are, some just accept what they believe death will deal to them.

I'd say any human who claims not to be scared of death is dishonest or messed up. :p
Ok let me clarify: Im not scared of being dead. What scares me is the process of dying. I would very much like to just drop dead one day while walking down the street, rather than lingering in some hospital bed, suffering for 6 months, connected to tubes and machines.

I'm not scared of atheism, I'm just afraid that I won't be able to learn as much as I'd like to about the fascinating universe we live in.

My computer has been acting wierd lately, so I actually said Atheism Deth but for some reason my stupid computer has been wierd lately.

I'm not scared of death. Dying, I am scared of, but dying is an experience you have while living. Once you die, there is nothing, so why be afraid? There's nothing to be afraid of in death, as there is nothing at all.

Come on Spock, cut me some slack, you know what I mean:D

I find it hard to believe that so many people are so ambivolent to the prospect of complete non-existance. Maybe when I've done all the things I want to have done before I die I'd be less scared, but simply popping out of existance just like that is quite scary. I think its about "closure".

Death comes to everyone, you can't avoid it, you can delay it but that's it. You are going to dissipate into nothingness too Fox, despite your beliefs. No proof exists of an afterlife. But, if it makes you feel better, keep on believing.

@Q%$%@#!!! WHY DO ATHEIST DO THAT? They always want to be tolerated, but why can't they tolerate us. Well, not all atheist, but you know what I mean. Don't give me that $**t! How do you know, huh? Tell me that? If you do not know, why did you post that? If you want a good arguement, don't tell people that things do not exist if in fact there is a little evidence that they do? Holy crud, just don't insult people's believes!

Well, it's not that I don't accept it I certainly do, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

Well, as I see it, athiestic death isn't nearly as scary as religious death, in a religious death you get stuck in an afterlife for all eternity, and if you don't like the one you're in there's no outlet you're stuck with it forever. Now, some religionists claim to know what life after death is but they've never experienced it and really have no friggin' idea besides what some other person/people claimed skewed by thier own opinions.

I agree with this, I hope euthanasia is legal by the time I'm in such a position. I think Fox is more asking about whether or not your afraid of being dead, though I could be wrong.

I would say scared of dying right now, but not after I have lived a full good life, but actually I am pretty curious (not enought to find out right now though)..I hope if I do die, there isn't nothing beyond it though..That would suck

I agree. Death is terrifying.

As you can see from the picture, hell is a lot closer to earth than heaven is. You can easily fall into it if you sin. But if you sin enough, you'd get pass it and get straight to heaven. The problem is that most people can't seem to sin enough until they do. They tried to do some good to redeem themselves and just ended up lost in hell. There are two ways of getting to heaven, the wussy way (represented by red arrows) and the Stratego way (represented by green arrows). I was so happy to discover this two years ago after realizing that the earth is round.

I always thought of heaven as everything good on earth, you get to do everything you want to do, and with a little more goodness thrown in. About hell, though, I think it either may not even exist, or there is no , and it is just a place where god rs can go and not be around god, as forcing someone to love you is wrong, and if god really is just, then that would happen. Eternal nothingness is the most scary thing, IMHO.
