Can we have one of the mainland to the left

Where to start...

First of all, Atlantis is virtually unplayable. The coast square hasn't been modified to produce shields, which means most of the cities will be creating one shield per turn. You'll need the whole game to produce one unit, considering that Atlantis starts in the modern age. Those cities on the ring of mountains aren't much better off. Mountains don't produce many shields unless mined, and you have no workers to make improvements.

As for the mainland, it looks a lot like you generated a map and added resources. The random patches of desert, the fact that most of the desert is near the equator and the tundras don't appear until further north, etc...

The resources you put result in a very blocky look. A load of elephants in one spot, a load of spices in another, cattle in another, spread it out a bit, or whatever civilzation gets a city in that area is going to have a huge advantage.

As for the fact that atlantis is mostly surrounded by water...Atlantis wasn't truly an underwater city. According to Greek mythology, the gods sent Atlantis to the bottom of the sea because it succumbed to the evils of greed and wealth. Something like that. Atlantis was really an island. Plato even wrote about it.

So yeah...this needs work. But, this is your first map, so don't be discouraged.
