I'd assume is more just a little wink to you as they know you'd be watching all the builds anyway One does wonder what they need another build for? Is this Civ GH's follow-up? Something to make sure xplatform still works post new bug fixes?
I don't see why they would need that when they have the GH builds and the Mac/Linux builds for testing xplatform. I suspect it could be the very beginnings of the expansion testing, hence the code name. But I am far from certain. I will simply continue to wait and watch.
@Eagle Pursuit Congratulations, you've reached a whole new level where Firaxis trolls YOU personally. Guess, that's a worthy achievement to be proud of.
Is the AI back to not building many cities now? I am wondering if this fall patch rolled back some improvements made in prior patches. It's hard to say as each game can vary quite a bit. Most of my games have been with barbarians on which greatly curtails AI expansion, but my current game has barbarians off. Both the Aztecs and America have not been expanding very much into North America (large TSL Earth map). I've had games last spring where the AI build cities in every square inch of available land on the map aside form the poles. Though my current game Australia inexplicably put a city on the Southern ice, it's up to size 4 amazingly. Although the other continents were covered pretty good by the AI, but there were a lot of AI's in those lands, so they build where they can. It's almost like the AI doesn't know what to do with that much open space.
It will be nice when we get more North and South American civs to help fill out TSL maps.
As an aside note, I am noticing Khmer are really hampering China quite a bit on TSL maps. Perhaps because China focuses too much on wonders. They are generally fairly strong, but not overly strong.
Back after sometime away from games, did they hotfix their patch? Can we start games with reasonable civs placements or do we still have to witchcraft a hotfix by ourselves?
I'm asking because I 'm thinking about buying it as Christmas gifts, but won' t if the starting location bug is still on.

I don't know why but in my games only some civs (like America, France) settling normally, all other stay with few cities even having big empty territory nearby. On my current map Kongo and Spain explore world with their numerous settlers that never found cities. I wonder what causes this bug?
Looks like there may be a hotfix. I just got an error from Steam that the game was unable to update because it was running. I've since exited, but now I wonder when I know for certain it's been updated, and what fixes--if any--have been made?
So I've noticed a recent change, not sure if it's something that changed in this patch or last (hard to verify last patch since alliances and research agreements were near impossible). It seems like research agreements no longer give a turn time when they complete. The turn time was mostly inaccurate anyways. But this begs the question. What determines when a research agreement completes? I feel like I'm missing something here.
The CS map sharing has a serious drawback. I started on a TSL map with Indonesia, and of course Kandy is right next to me. But I don't get the relics because I became suzerain of Nan Madol and Seoul, who already explored Halong Bay and Great Barier Reef. You don't get a video anymore, you don't get to hear you discovered them, and you don't get the relics from being Kandy's suzerain. Quite annoying because it destroyed a perfectly fine 80 turn game for me : /

I signed a research agreement in my last game and it somehow completed in one turn. I was way behind in science (Deity game) and nowhere near the tech in question. Maybe it's something as simple as "when one player gets the tech, the other player gets the boost for it"?

Maybe you can avoid this by turning off option called like "share visibility with allies" in English. One of primary reasons I love playing Civ is exploring big map. And with this option I cannot imagine I'm an explorer. Usually civ 6 maps are big (i'm playing on Small or Standard) and I always have things to discover, don't like when someone takes that joy from me. And bugs like yours are also very annoying.

I believe it's supposed to be something like "in X turns, both players get the boost. But if one gets it first (either the tech or the boost, I think), then the other gets it automatically". So if you're behind in tech, you should sign as many as you can. But if you're ahead, it makes less sense.
Anyone getting any weird graphical glitches when another screen opens when you have a religious unit awaiting orders (causing the religious overlay to come up)? The weird thing is it has only happened in my current game. Which makes me think the problem is associated with Kongo apostles. I've had problems on both the claim great person screen and assign new policy screen (due to a policy being obsolete). The worst one was the choose new policy screen as I couldn't escape out of it, and I couldn't click accept after choosing a new policy. I had to restart the game and go from an auto save.

I had that, too, and I believe this happens when a unit performs an action over the x-axis on the mal. There's also some minor graphics glitch where the x-axis wraps.
Has anyone else had the jolts that occur when religious units fight being invisible? I've had that most of the times in the late game now.
