The AI is still rather dumb without 3rd party mods. For example... I was at war with Tomyris who was winning. I sued for peace and decided to see if I could get anything... apparently she thought it was a good idea to give me two cities with two luxury resources that I did not have even though there was no way I could have won the war and her military score was about double that of mine.
It would be nice to have an AI that at least makes sense.
I'm hoping we get a an expansion and a better AI in time for Christmas ... but, seeing as we're halfway through November...
So has anyone seen the AI build Angkor Wat in this game? I've gotten it every time. After a long while in my most recent game, I decided to build it since the AI apparently wasn't. It's not a bad little wonder. Not sure why the AI never builds it. I think it doesn't place many aqueducts.
At this point wouldn't it be better just to release a fix for the remaining starting position bugs along with the Mac/Linux patch/DLC? It seems like they are going to patch the PC side again anyway to facilitate cross-platform multiplayer.
