B1 - Aztec Succession game

Uh, still a lot of ground to go -

Oh.. I thought it was nearly done :) something like 62% out of 67? Anyway I'm sure there's lots of fun to be had :spank:ing the Germans

EDIT: (taking a peek at the save)Uhhh. What's the deal with the French Stack-o-Doom near Bremen??

I tried to get a screeshot of the contents of the stack-o-doom but couldn't for some reason..

Nanook - How is it going?
I know you finished 1 turn, but that was 1 1/2 days agao.

These turns are insanely long. I don't think I've ever had turns this long in any Civ3 game before. And someone should teach me to use the autosave, since I just crashed out 3/4 of the way through my turn. I give up. Nothing is going right for me this SG at all. Attached is the last save I have.

This may sound stupid, but are u holding SHIFT down ?
It speeds up the game, in case u dídn't know. :p

Sorry it's too slow for you Nanook! Some more standard size games are coming up..

I can't open the file, its not showing up in my civ game. All my other games haveSAV file as the type of file they are in windows explorer, this game just has file as the type.

Have you tried renameing the file, and adding the .sav?

If that doesn't work, we will have to hope Nanook is still reading this read and can repost the game.

Try renaming it as B1.zip and opening it with Winzip. I've been having to do that with the last couple of saves I've downloaded from the board for whatever reason. It should work fine.

*edit* wayward smiley and clarified the wildcard.

Renaming it works for me...

I just saw that map and I have one thing to say....

wow

That has got to be 70-80 cities there...Now i have alot of cities in my games but I've NEVER seen that many white dots in such close proximity to eachother.....is the corruption pretty bad?

Yeah, cities not in the homeland or India (where our fp is) are pretty bad. You can figure out where I'm talking about by looking at the second map.. :D This is a Large map, so cities are not all that close..

I posted a story (A Canadian Tale) where I had 200+ cities.. I basically owned the Pangaea continent..

Shdwlord, did you rename the file? Is it ok now?

Hmmmm, well, I can get it to load, I can play part of the turn, but everytime I get to the army with 2 tanks in it I get a civ.exe error and the game crashes.

It is Brian J call to make,
but I suspect we should use the last save before Nanook -
It only goes back a couple of turns, 1930 I believe.

With all his problem comments, I can't help but wonder if something got corrupted.

Thats the same error I was getting, only it didn't turn up til a bit later. Odd. I would say something sure did get corrupted, but I have no idea what.

One thing that can really screw the game up -
the j stack command, when an army is in the stack -
I had some real odd things myself with that.
