Victory plan is obvious, domination. Of course, we as so cash short, not much rushing.
Upgrade as many infantry to mech as I can - cash = $1005.
Rush library in houston - I want to kick out those Germany colonies.
Massive waking up of troops in Egypt - no culture flip danger.
We own 1752 of 3555 in land - about 49% of the world.

1910 AD - Hmmm... Did we ever have a victoroius army?
Well one way to find out - build an army.
GACK! - Bad stack movement toward Ephesus.
We have such a excess of infantry, that we won't upgrade, so I disband a few to rush the temples.
I haven't gained a square, still 1752.
Upgrade more units, 41 mech, still have 161 infantry.

Our elite tank went out to clean them up, and bingo...

1912 AD - We saw one of those silly coal flips location deals.
New Lyons, Eretia fall.
Planting spies - Fails vs. Babylon and Rome. Works vs. England and France
Aztecs gains 16 squares this turn.
????? I have confused myself, I don't know how I got us down to $670 in gold
I have spotted a German Panzer... Of course, 6 turns until there colonies by Houston disappear.
Demanded France leave, and they do. Now stuck in a smaller corner by Houston.
1914 AD - The stack of tanks of doom attack -
Pharlos is stubborn, but it falls costing us a couple of tanks - Good news, a source of rubber for Greece lost - disband 2 uselss art, and instant temple.
Mytilne falls - again, instant temple, thanks to 2 captured units.
Athens falls - we get the Observatory in a 1/1 city

Thanks for the update! The reason I mentioned it was slow is that I found the same thing.. I was taking about 10-15 minutes/turn as well on my round.

EX2 is really slow too, the last time I played that one.

Speaking of which, EX2's last save file ws too big for the forum. I noticed this one was about 425M.. hope you can post your turn.. If not we'll need the next players email address.

1916 AD - The AI has gotten smarter I watched Greece attack the Germany bowman with tanks, inf, then they finnally stole our workers with an out of date hoplite. Killing the enemy was the priority, and the JUNK unit to steal the workers, a lower priority.
Karkov falls - costing us a tank, to take a size 2 junk city. I really don't want the force cleaning up the junk island to get smaller.
We have a victorious army now, but down to a lousy 2 hp - will it live?
Argos, New Pharsalos, Hali... fall, Greece continues to collapse.
Cornith falls in an expensive victory - several tanks were lost.
Thanks to close border, the tanks from Cornith move foward and take Phocaea.
Greece sends in the tanks, and recaptures Phocaea - Still some fight left.
We NEVER had an army with a victory - Our People want to build the Heroic Epic.
1918 AD - Teot... starts Military Academy - eta 6 turns.
Texc... starts Heroic Epic - eta 3 turns.
I beat Germany to the prize - Delphi falls.
Sparta falls, and we capture multiple workers - I don't know why we built a regular tank, but it speeds up the temple in Sparta.
Phocaea is recovered. New Delphi, Artemisium are captured.
Kursks falls, 2 workers, and we are making progress on that island.


I intend to keep the game for the Weekend -
I am out of town this weekend in a hotel -
Until I get a request from Shdwlord that he wants it.

We've had at least one - Shadwlord got it on his last turn and I used it to rush the United Nations. I believe the Forbidden Palace was built with one as well, but didn't refer back in the thread to make sure.

The nasty is built - Manhattan project.
I knew it was destined - Sicyon flips to Greece, but we take it right back.
Starting to see my favorite domination message - culture border expansion
New Rheims, Herakleia, New Athens, Knossos fall.
We have cash again - Upgrading more to mech inf - still 133 regular infanty left.
I love it - Allowed units 540, total units 523. We have a HUGH army.
Germany actually captures Therm...

1922 AD - The Germany colonies are toasted - Glad to see Germany lose them, plus more squares that are under Aztec control.
Leeds, New Sparta fall.
Permagon falls, and we catch a Battleship in port.
Troy falls, scratch another Greek Capital - it moves to Mycenae - scratch the replacement capital.
I can see the English Border!
Our first Victory vs. Babylon, Nimrud falls, good choice, since the where a nimrod to take us on.
The babs have Bombers, quite a few blowing up improvements near Ottawa / Toronto.
The French take Birmingham
Heroic Epic is completed.
Bonn flips - to the Greeks?

1924 AD - Of course, we take Bonn back.
Apolyton, Rhodes, Megara, Miletos, New Cornith are captured.
Caesarea holds with a 1 hp infantry.
WTH??? Izibia shows the best defender as a worker??????
Duh, how about a 1 hp tank - We get it, and destroy a transport in port.

Screw the UN - No voting here.
New Argos is formed, 1 greek city left - I just beat France to the punch.
Babs land by New Jerusalem, 3 dead babs.
Caesarea falls.
We are a filthy people, it took quite awhile to watch the pollution patrol in action.
Between bombers and battleships, sink 2 bb, 1 cv, 2 iron, 1 tran at NO cost - take that Babs.
I haven't checked trading in a while.
Despite Monarchy - 3+ techs ahead of Rome, England,
2+ techs ahead of France.
Just 1 tech ahead of Germany.
WTH - The Greeks have 1 city, but Hali flips to them?????

1928 AD - More foolish Bab ships enter the Smolensk - Kharkow alley and die.
We recover Hali, Cambrige falls - The Greeks are DEAD!
Much of the whinning in Greek cities will end.
Zamua falls - I watch 10+ Bab bombers die in that city
We now own that junk island.
I deforest and rush a temple in New Delphi and New Rheims.
Prepare for war with Germany, as they just signed an MPP with Babylon, make that Military alliance NOW.
Rome declares war on Germany.
Megra, Artemisium are captured by Germany - not that bad of damage, I also watched several Panzers die.

1930 AD - The still foolish Bab ships enter the Smolensk - Kharkow alley and die.
I take Therm... from Germany, I was right - killed 2 bombers also.
A stack of units lands near another Bab island.
Find there is a stack of tanks on the Aztec side of Germany,
Megara recaptured - have to start temple from scratch.
I swap some units to our border with Germany cities.
And now the fun begins - Let's wake up the tank stack of doom site up near Riga.
Nuremburg, Hamburg, Athribis, Cologne fall.

Summary -
I started with 1752 squares of the 3555 land squares.
I ended with 2225 squars, which is 62% of the world, what I can't remember is domination 67% or 75%?
Either way, more former Greeks cities will expand there borders soon...
Several more German cities should fall, and invasion Babylon begins.

I am sure there will be a few straggle "j" moves. However, the "j" stack option was the best thing Firaxis ever did
When you want to move 15 tanks to the same spot ...

The transport by Izibia is to get those units off the island.
I killed 1 unit in Tel Wilaya, you have to decide if you want to risk the tank.
I small stack has landed by 2 bab cities on an island.
A tank stack of doom is by Berlin / Frankfurt.
The big move has started - a stack of tanks with some mechs landed on the mountain by Eridu, if we get the airport... I did leave a few

tanks for a second wave.

Uh, still a lot of ground to go -
I know Nanook can't finish it, however if he plays a few turns, he could end mainland Germany -

Preturn: Man thats a lot of dark green Checked if there were any deals to be had to get our anemic encomy up. Everyone else is broke. Can't complain then. I just saw a bab ironclad sink one of our battleships The Babs follow up their surprise victory by attacking some of our tanks with bowmen SETI completed. Military acadmey completed.

1, 1932: Man there's a lot of pollution. Eridu falls with some losses. 14 resisters in the city, sheesh. 8 bombers rebased to the carriers right near the Bab island. A transport full of tanks is on the way there as well. Tel Wilaya falls, fighter(or bomber not sure) destroyed, some workers captured. One resister. Umma captured. New Berlin captured. 1 resister. Berlin falls. Hanging Gardens captured, and 2 workers. 5 resisters. Frankfurt captured. 3 resisters. Yeesh that was a long turn. Dnep retaken by babs.

Gonna pause there for a bit. need to take care of some things around the house quickly.
