This is my second attempt at failure in the mod portion of the world that we call CivFanatics. J/k. I got alot of free time during the week now, and this thread should be a week thing w/the weekends full of whatever you guys do.
In otherwords, No updates during the weekends, but the other 5 days, Updates will be a flyin'.
Backround history:
The world has suffered greatly as the second world war has come to a close. The allies have successfully won in Europe, with the help of Italy betraying Germany for land rights in Africa. However, a slightly different picture has been painted in the Pacific. Japan has destroyed the United States in bloody Island Hopping and have much to show for it. A peace treaty came through, when Japan gave back Hawaii, and they kept the rest. (I love this time frame)
Military:
The same as before.
Tiny, Small, medium, large, very large, Imperial, Supreme.
Units:
are of those in WWII. Infantry, tanks, panzers, battleships, destroyers, PT boats, Planes, etc. You may make up units with my approval.
If war happens, it is up to me what goes on. Mostly this will be done to satisfy storylines. SO if you get massacred, don't get all pissy, I'll make sure you're taken care of.
Obviously the more detailed battle/defence plans will win.
Movement of military will be in the color as before.
Economy:
Depression, recession, stagnant, steady, normal, excellent, perfect.
Map:
I won't be changing the boundries on the map. Something new here. Instead, when a nation is taken over, martial law is in effect for 5 turns. That means, you have control of the country, but you don't have control over the country. Even after "civil ditress" is done, that nation just becomes a state in the conquering nations union. IE: currently Russia controls eastern Europe, however, the nation bountries are still intact. However, if civil war errupts, new bountries will be put in, and not taken out.
Nations:
This is again something different. If you notice on the map, There are colored nations, and brown nations. The colored nations at the start, are the world powers. After that roster is put in, the brown becomes open to the public. The players that choose to join, then can join as one of the brown nations. They can do one of 2 things. They can historically pick the name of the nation or create a new snazzy name. Either way, I choose the stats. Here is the layout for the nations:

Morale - how are the people feeling
Morale is directly related to your economy, war, military strength, and leadership. If you improve in one or more, then your people are happy. There is no real system to this. If you people are happy, it will say so. If they are nonresponsive, then something will be witty. Depressed is self explanatory.
upgrading:
You CANNOT upgrade anything if you are in a depression. About the only thing you can do is get loans from other nations or find a solution to the depression.
The levels of economy determine how fast you are able to build things. That is up to my discresion, and probably will not be uniform.
Use good judgement when upgrading. It is physically impossible to upgrade every aspect of the military. If that happens, you get the first one on the list and that's it.
For rules sake, Ill put up this little turns table for upgrading. This will be loosely enforced.
Military- 2-3 turns per upgrade
Economy- 1-5 turns depending
Morale- 1 turn dependant on other things.
Timeline:
1945A.D. - World War II officially ends with the treaty of Pacifica. Japan gives back hawaii and in turn, keeps the south pacific and parts of China. Italian Leader Mussolini is executed by the Italian people and a democracy is put in effect. Facism is dead.
1950A.D. - Canada invades greenland. Byzantine/Turkey civil war begins.
1955A.D. - Canada withdraws from greenland. Byzantine uprising almost has come full circle. Germany exits depression. Italy coupons gives leadership confidence. USSR Builds massave army of untrained men.
1960A.D. - France Invades Algeria! Germany begins research on the jet engine. The USSR has established martial law in Poland.
Ethiopia has bought Somalia. The Mafias Tribute has been completed. The Byzantine Uprising has ended. The USA cut off trade with Mexico.
