Back to immortal!

So SH is bifl early on as I said (Charly or Pacal prolly). Fishing is researched and I settle city #2 to get copper.

Very good, our commerce is ruined already
I plan on working some two coins tile in the cap size three.

More good news... say hello to Toku!

The eastern warrior spots barb activity, some xp farming is in order...

situation t45: 2 workers, 1 settler being built. I am not working the grass hill since a third settler before tw will kill us. we need the crab commerce and roads soon (imo Oracle will be hard considering our current tech pace).

I can play a bit more but feel free to comment as the situation could use improvements. Or you take the next 15... as you like!

Looks sucky (though if anyone is to blame it's Rusten for rolling that start :p).

I think we should spread our warriors more. One FB up north and one city guard is one too many, as well as just south of Bejing. We desperately need to actually locate the AI to know how to seal them off. The area in the east around our healing warrior will be great if there are AI to the far east. To know when to settle that choke point we need to know how far away the AI are in that direction. Same goes for south (west).

We should build 2 scouting WBs in Shanghai once the worker is done.

Do you mind playing on until TW is in?

PS like our name? :p

Where to settle city 3?

I noted another possible site for it (the "2?" signs ), though we can go directly for an eastern blocker: we located Charly around here. THough that city would kill our eco and be useless before a monument and a culture pop. I favor the site grabbing horses and corn. Should be productive quickly.

You can take the next round if u like though we should talk techs before that.

Was the first start I rolled. ;)
Capital is terrible, but the map itself is quite generous I think. Lots of space to settle with food.

No need for prolly :nono: :whipped:
F9 -> Top 5 cities/wonders -> SH in Mutal

Do we need to discuss techs right now? TW > myst looks pretty obvious, and with our current rate that'll take forever.

I honestly have no clue what to do with our capital. We have no commerce so no stability in our eco and no way to tech at any decent speed. We have can hardly build anything but units for a long while still. Gotta come up with something here...

As to dotmap... FFS, you're using BUG, use the strategy layer please!! ;) Alt-X to draw and Ctrl-X to show in case you forgot... so many signs make me mad :p

I agree though, corn/horse looks best (the westernmost "2?"-sign ).

I wouldn't mind if you went on a little longer... I probably won't be available until late tonight.

lurker:

nice tech hole you started to dig here :-). those -7 gpt were somewhat suspicious to me and you clearly should think more about your UNITS situation... half of the maintenance goes there.

not sure what I would do with this land/start... building nonriverside cottages is meh especially without quick growth and writing doesn't seem to bring the "commerce" too.

those 2 wines could be most probably cottaged though...they are useless other way for 50 turns.

Man, that game still looks as depressing as it did yesterday  Switching a coast tile to a cow tile should NOT cripple our techrate quite that much!!

Well, my points didn't change either, what do you think ras? I'll play as soon as we get a proper plan put together.

Indeed! We have too many warriors, especially since we went to claim copper with our first city. Well I could delete a few but I don't like that idea. If our cities grow unit maintenance will decrease - but the problem remains, we have hardly any builds besides units.

Well, with cottages they're still nearly as useless... also we don't have the commerce to tech Pottery. I'd rather farm the lakeside wine tile.

in a sense they are like plains riverside, but the commerce is problematic but what you want to tech instead? you have troubles to finish wheel and writing is even more out of question then pottery

i would delete couple of those warriors... like 2-3 should allow at least 10 more turns of 100% research with the gold you have.

city 2 can (and most probably should) run couple of those coast tiles for the 2c

Well, when I said "don't have the commerce for pottery" I forgot to add "yet" :p We must tech TW and myst before it which will take it's time...
