So what?? I was talking Third World nations in general. Sure, look hard enough and you'll find an exception somewhere. Oh, and by the way? I'm familiar with the fact that the Maldives are worried about global warming because they're slowly disappearing underwater. To which I say, good. I call that justice from God (even though I'm an atheist, how's that for irony?). Because the Maldives government REQUIRES you to be a Muslim in order to be a citizen, so I hope that whole country vanishes off the map, enough to lose control of my typing and start writing comma splices.

Not really. Venus is closer to the sun and gets 50% more solar radiation, its day is a hundred and fifteen Earth days long, and it has a very weak magnetic field. Venus was destined to bake pretty much from the start--and life never really had a chance.
Of more interest and less alarm for this thread is the apparently contradictory fact that Venus has a vastly greater greenhouse effect than Earth (by literally hundreds of thousands of times!) yet is only three times hotter than Earth. The perfect demonstration of diminishing returns. As we pump more and more greenhouse gases into our own atmosphere, the Earth will warm up less and less with each additional unit of gas.

And actually, the same sort of buffoonish ignorance is evident in the comments regarding all the coastal and island nations being "a few exceptions". Funny that they might be worried.

It seems you are mistaken again. But knowing you, you'll be willing to admit your mistake, since you always do, and apologize over your little outburst there knowing you called the wrong guy a "Bloody pillock" and accused him of something he didn't do.
Second, after seeing your mistake, I'm sure you'll also still apologize for putting my name to an argument you can see I never made. Oddly enough sparking an unexpected outburst. Doers it hurt you so badly every time I point out the flaws in your argument you're reduced to that? What was that rule you once stated: "Anyone who calls the other an idiot in an argument automatically loses the argument". See, I do read your posts. What if someone calls someone a "pillock" for no good reason? Surely that is losing the argument in a big way? But I have an addage to that rule. Anyone who apologizes after he did so, shows he's mature enough to be exempt from that rule. I wonder if you can cease from the pissing contest mentality and actually be that man. I'd be impressed and I'd forget about your outburst.
Finally, a reiteration that it's ironic for someone bashing other for not reading your posts, you'd make two mistakes in a row regarding the contents of my posts. A little introspection wouldn't hurt there BasketCase.
