Yeah, 2007 seems to have been some sort of phase-shift between a higher-ice Arctic and a lower-ice Arctic in the summer. On the plus side, both the Northwest and Northeast Passages are open for business!

2016 was the second warmest year on record for the USA. Only 2012 was warmer.

Apparently the current flood are due to climate change, but the 1910 ones weren't. Interesting.
