Hello Everyone!

I've spent the last few hours making a wee map of Europe and the time has come to add resources to my creation. I kind of want their placements to be accurate with the real world yet balanced so that all players have a fair and reasonable start.

I was looking around to see if there were any guides for this resource balancing act but I couldn't find anything so I was wondering if anyone had any tips/tricks of the trade they could share with me before I sit down and do it?

Thanks

Sven

Welcome to the forums! :wavey:

A general piece of advise is to always keep gameplay and balance in mind, even when going for realism. For example, if you find that iron is only found in one location, it would be a good idea to sprinkle some iron in other locations. Not having access to such a powerful resource can really mess up a civ. Or, you can substitute it in for horses or something. The point is to not sacrifice gameplay for realism. :)
