YOu have a point in that neither can hold a candle to the likes of George Jones or Tammy Wynette, but as far as rock goes they are not bad.

I vote Aerosmith, AC/DC as much as they rule, I dont like their early music, its all very bluesey, and not very hard rock.

And if I listen to their good songs for too long, I probably get a headache.

Hmmm, I don't like most of Aerosmith's 1980's and up work, but I love most of there 70's albums.
-Pandora's box kicks major @ss.
-Sweet emotion live was a pretty cool experience.
-I don't know a single singer who can sing an Aeorsmith song without screwing it badly. Steven Tyler is among the bests.

AC/DC? They only have one song with different titles imo
- The best come back with a different singer in history, thats about it for good points... Maybe that Aerosmith's 80's 90's were questionnable, but AC/DC's were inexistant, Razor's edge and Ballbreaker areN,t remembered by anybody. Scott and Johnson both are medicore singers compared to Tyler.

So Aerosmith wins this one

A quick look at the number of songs I have on my computer for each band has AC/DC winning by almost 2 to 1.

I'm also listening to AC/DC as I type this.

Yes, that, and the fact that you can hear Aerosmith in an elevator. I dont recall ever hearing Highway To Hell, Back in Black, or Hells Bells in an elevator, or a doctors office

Well, because I have in my life heard one Aerosmith song, and no AC/DC songs, I voted Aerosmith.

As all the members of Aerosmith are still alive and touring, there really isn't any contest.

But still, it's really a matter of taste. AC/DC is nothing but hard rock, Aerosmith's hardest rocking songs get no airtime while their pop-ier songs do. Aerosmith's Nobody's Fault is just as hard rocking as anything of AC/DC's, but their only #1 hit was I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.

Aerosmith's Honkin' On Bobo album got me started blowing harp, though, so as a nationalist, a Bostonian, one who enjoys being in black but would prefer being "in the saddle," and one who recognizes Steven Tyler as my gateway drug into hard blues...

There's really no other way to vote in this one.

No way - Aerosmith sucks. AC/DC was at least entertaining and real rock. Aerosmith is just repackaging of Stephen Tyler's ego-tripping crappy adolescent love ballads intermingled with an occasional failing attempt at music that is not complete dreck.

I think BE's elevator test really tells us all we need to know about this one.

Aerosmith, without breaking a mental sweat. AC/DC has some good tunes, but Aerosmith is one of the best bands ever.
