AC/DC is also the only band who made bagpipes sound cool. :)

The bagpipe harmonizes with the guitar so well in this song, I am amazed it has not been done more often.

Wiki said:
Bon Scott was born in Kirriemuir, Scotland on July 9, 1946 to Charles and Isabelle Scott. The Scott family emigrated to Australia in 1952 where they initially lived in Sunshine, Melbourne before moving to Fremantle in 1956, Bon Scott learnt to play the drums in the Coastal Scottish Pipe Band.
Scott dropped out of school at the age of 15 and spent a short time in Fremantle Prison in the assessment center and nine months at the Riverbank Juvenile Institution relating to charges of; giving a false name and address to the police, having escaped legal custody, having unlawful carnal knowledge and stealing twelve gallons of petrol. He attempted to join the Australian Army but was rejected for being deemed as "socially maladjusted."
My kind of rocker. What more could we ask of him? :D

AC/DC has more songs i listen too.
Aerosmith is a one man army of Steve Taylor

Sacrilege!!!!!!!!!! Steven Tyler is the name!!!!!

I've passed my AC/DC addiction. Lead singer-wise, Brian Johnson was ok, but he's no Steven Tyler.

Music-wise, Aerosmith is very unique in that it's one of the few bands that has co-oped with a rap artist to make a song (Walk This Way, iirc).

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy AC/DC songs, but I currently prefer Aerosmith. Maybe because I when I have a "band addiction" all I do is play their CD for hours on end daily until I finally get tired (get my fix so to speak) of it or find another band I like. I did this with my "AC/DC Live" cd, I had every freakin' word memorized on at least 8 of their songs.

I don't have an Aerosmith cd so I can only hear it on the radio, and they don't play them enough to satisfy my demand for their songs.

Also, look at the picture on this link, I just think Steve Tyler looks more like a rock star.

Here are two of these bands most rockin' tunes.

You tell me who rocked more.

There's no question in my old mind that Bon and Angus blow away anything Joe and Steven can do on stage.

I don't believe Train Kept Rollin' All Night Long is Aerosmiths most rockin tune.

Shut Up and Dance was a pretty rockin' song (the one at "Waynestock"), or Back in the Saddle Again, that rocked pretty good too.

My favorite AC/DC song was either Dirty Deeds or perhaps Big Balls (just for comedic purposes  ).

No single AC/DC' song is better than "Sweet Emotion!"

I agree. Toys in the Attic could be the best of all the albums produced by either band.

Hmmmmm..aerosmith, who wimped out sometime around 1992, or AC/DC, who've been writing the same song over since 1977...

AC/DC, only because thier frontman is still singing like he's taking the world's biggest poop....

AC/DC. No contest.

Aerosmith gets shot down in flames.

Aerosith can make the rock'n'roll noise pollution. AC/DC turns the noise pollution onto rock'n'roll

Thunder!
Thunder!

Here comes the razor's edge!

Have you ever heard "Running Wild"? Search for "The battle of Waterloo"!

My opinion: Aerosmith missed the thing, while AC/DC still rocks around.

However, Taylor is not a one man army. And Brian rocks more than Bon. And both are crazy. And Brian is more pervertual! (You shook me all night long)

I'll toss a bone at Aerosmith and say that 'Ya aint seen nothin till your down on a muffin' beats any single line from an ACDC song, but thats as far as I'll go.

I didn't have a problem voting AC/DC, but I don't think anything bad needs to said about Aerosmith, they're both great.

One thing I'd like to say, I think AC/DC and Aerosmith are Hard Rock, not Metal, but that's IMO.

For further example, Van Halen (before they turned to sh*!t), were Hard Rock, not Metal. I dislike it when they and the above two bands are lumped in to the same catagory with bands like Pantera or Megadeth. It's just not the same.

Who is Taylor?

Hard Rock and Metal are both so broad that the term has as much or as little meaning as you give it.

Although Aerosmith plays hard rock, there's certainly the beginnings of metal in some of their stuff:
Nobody's Fault, off of 1976's Rocks, for one, and Round And Round, off of 1975's Toys in the Attic, for another. But from there, they went in a decidedly rock direction. As a side note, however, Aerosmith is featured in The Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years.

In terms of actual musical ability etc its Aerosmith but music id actually choose to listen too its AC/DC.

i have 7 albums of AC/DC whilst only 1 off Aerosmith. However i would say both get a bit 'samey'
