Neither are that good, but from the choices AC/DC.

For those about to Rock... we salute you!

Aerosmith is nice, but oh my god never dare compare it to AC/DC!

I like AC/DC but it's all the same song, however they still beat Aerosmith

Never liked Aerosmith.

AC/DC rock and then some, though they only had two good albums with Brian Johnson.

AC/DC

even if they got a bit stale by the 90's, I never felt like they sold out. They stuck to their guns (big guns)

Aerosmith is elevator music.

never forget the time I first heard For Those About to Rock...We Salute You. It wasn't a radio song. The radios never played AC/DC. So even though it had been out for a while, never heard it until I was older. And I really wasn't into metal at this point. I thought this was the heaviest, coolest song ever.

More songs should have cannons firing in it. :goodjob:

I will never forgive Aerosmith for collaborating with RunDMC in 1986. AC/DC for that reason alone.

It revived their career, which was pretty much dead at that point.

Train kept a rollin' probably is aerosmith's heaviest song.

As for AC/DC's heaviest song, I'll have to go with the afore mentioned For Those About to Rock... We Salute you.

Baby please don't go is a cover song (albeit a good cover) from their first album, which isn't really a full album. Jailbreak is a pretty cool song though.

edit: watching the videos right now. The old singer (Bon Scott?) was one crazy mofo. The new singer did a decent job filling in the roll, but he never had the energy old AC/DC had.

Train kept a rollin' was a cover too.

Two others for comparison.

yeah just noticed that on the youtube comments. Never knew that. But I was never hardcore into Aerosmith that I know their history. I wasn't really that much into AC/DC. Not Metallica on the other hand, I know quite a bit about.

Here are two of these bands most rockin' tunes.

You tell me who rocked more.

AC/DC--Baby Please Don't Go in 1976

There's no question in my old mind that Bon and Angus blow away anything Joe and Steven can do on stage.

For comparison, here's Aerosmith doing Baby, Please Don't Go, fairly recently.

Somewhat bluesier, I think. But really, both are phenomenal bands who put on phenomenal performances.

AC/DC. No contest.

Aerosmith gets shot down in flames.

Hmmmmm..aerosmith, who wimped out sometime around 1992, or AC/DC, who've been writing the same song over since 1977...

AC/DC, only because thier frontman is still singing like he's taking the world's biggest poop....

I vote Aerosmith, AC/DC as much as they rule, I dont like their early music, its all very bluesey, and not very hard rock.

I grew up listening to early AC/DC and I was only listening to the "High Voltage" album on the way to work this morning. That's nearly thirty years later and it still gets a spin in the CD player. So, without a doubt, it's AC/DC for me!

"it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll"
