Pink Floyd in a landslide

any yes fans think 'relayer' was their best album? any floyd fans think any album *other* than 'dark side' was their best?

I like relayer a lot however I prefer the golden trio of The Yes Album, Fragile, and Close to the Edge with Fragile being my absolute favourite.

I voted Yes, I like both bands but always preferred Yes's style.

First off I was freaked that in some parts this was even a debate. Then I voted and saw >90% and realised the world was still spinning on its axis.

Oh no, you said 'landslide'. That means theres going to be a Fleetwood Mac vs Jefferson Airplane thread.

Once again no debate. Cumon Fleetwood Mac FTW. Abserd old farts though they may be...

These are mismatches. Have we had a Rumble in the Jungle Stones V Beatles undesputed heavyweight crown match? Tis no sport waching the bantamweights getting kicked around...

This is a close one, but I'd have to say Yes.

And I think it would be 50-50 on this poll if everyone voting had heard of Yes. :mischief: Many of those who are voting haven't.

Relayer is captivating, but I'll go with either The Yes Album or the underrated, much maligned Tales from Topographic Oceans.

For Pink Floyd, definitely Atom Heart Mother. (Or Syd's solo stuff, but I don't think that would qualify.)

Pink Floyd, hands down. I think the songs were written better. I've always been a big Roger Waters fan; even his solo stuff.

Yes is okay, but compared to Floyd, their songs always seemed a little "light"; I prefer lyrics with more depth.
