what do you think of battlefield 2 please comment.

personally i like it, but it seems to be the appitmay of mediocraty. Theres nothing so far thats made me go, oooohhhh wow, or anything. Just plain flat out mediocraty, and theres a bunch of things in it i dont like, like the weopon innacuracy(compared to 1942 and the weakness of SMAW rockets in comparisont ot tanks).

edit:on a scale from 1 to ten.

First of all, yes, I think that the game is not all its said to be but the weapons inaccuracy that you talk about is for greater game accuracy since most real life weapons are a little off until straightened out .

I really dont want to argue but i just got done playing on Kadar(i think thats the name) and I came up behind a guy(online obviously) and was about mayby 3 meters away, went full auto with the SAW and missed with about 30 rounds(he was looking around all frantic). I see this as WAY to innacurate.
But really do youlike the game a lot, how bout from now on on a scale from 1-10.

I so far give it an 8 out of 10.

about an 8, same as you. It lacks some things but can be fun

If you were able to run up behind someone, spray full auto (with teh saw), and have a lot of the bullets hit them, it would be a COMPLETELY overpowered weapon. To use the saw you need to lie down, not move, and not fire it completely automatically. Use moderate-long bursts.

I also would give it an 8/10, my main gripes are things which are going to be fixed in patches. When perfect, 9/10

FROM THREE METERS AWAY???from extreme close range like that you should hit anything no matter how you fire, EVEN IN A GAME!!!

What i do like though is how the snipers have claymores, is et some up onthe stairs in the half-constructed buildings on uhhh.....aww cap i cant remeber the name and had a field day(eventually they got me  ). Another thing, because the scope is more user-friendly and the enviroments are mostly close-quarters urban being a sniper in BF2 online is actually somehwat feesable, tryit in BF1942 and, well, youl kill a few Noobs and idiots but thats about it.

Also, small tiny falls no longer killy you, i accidentally fell of my perch when sniping and actually lived, thats an odd feeling. A very odd feeling.......
DiD i mention the claymores are hours of fun?

The SAW is very inaccurate if you fire on full auto. Yes, even at 3 metres. The only way to be accurate is to lie down, use the sights, and fire bursts, as Gainy Bo said. It's not designed as an accurate weapon, it's more designed to provide covering fire while your squad moves in on a position.

Also, if you managed to sneak up behind someone, you should've knifed him! ;)

and thats the reason why i think if your going to make an arcade game you shouldnt use real life weopons, understandably, im going to assume youv never used a SAW in real life, it is used in real life as a S quad A utomatic W eopon for elongated suppresive fires and heavy movement support during a bound and move manuever and(to get picky) the main weopon used for scaring the piss out of the enemy since youl have the ammo to blow anyway, its not desigend to be inacurate(in reality) the high rate of fire naturally gives it that. I really dont care if this is a game or not, it doesnt do the real life counterpart justice. But whatever, lets not argue.

Actually now that i play it more, im really starting to get into it. I think this game will last me mayby a month or two. I LOVE being an assualt.

Eight seems right.

Without trying to say how much damage and accuracy the support weapon (SAW?) should have, I'm pleased that ppl don't use it Rambo style anymore as in DC, but more for cover and suppressive fire. Likewise it's nice that the AT rocket isn't used as some kind of shot gun.

I have to admit I have not used the support kit much, perhaps I'll change my mindwhe I do ;).

@Gainy Bo: never mind about the knifing vid, let's just agree to disagree, ok? ;)

I wasn't disagreeing with you!
I was just confused as to what made you say they were cheating.
Do you mean hacks? (wallhax aimbot etc) If so, what shows them to be hacking?
Or do you mean just cheating the score-system? If so, yar, that is pretty lame. But that guy they are knifing is just some random public player :D (which is why the video is funny)

I can only see the Support class being useful on certain maps (karkand/shariqui peninsula) when there are at least 32 players, and you're working in a squad. But in that situation it does own. I was surprised at how accurate it is long-range.

The sniper class is horrible for some reason ^^

Medic class rocks

Spec ops is great (gainy :P)

Assault is good

Support is ok

Engy is meh

I'd give the game an 8/10. Would've been a 6/10 but the patch fixed the in game browser somewhat so it is a lot better now ;D

Being commander rocks :]

well the sniping class is a little hard because of bad colission detection, i noticed that if you put a round in the top of a guys nogin it wont hit, you have to aim nose and lower which is anoyying but then again most games wont let you hit the EXACT tip of someones head.Ohh and me and some buddies got on vent(voice chat program(has nothig to do with battlefield2) and desigend oursleves into a fireteam. I got to be the pointmen, we had my dad(fifty-eight and still plays games) as our greandier(instead of a m-16 with and m-203 he had the SMAW and mp5) my bro as the team leader(which ohh sweet christmas will never happen again) and my littler bro as our Automatic rifleman(DAMN hes good). We kiked a whole lotta ass until my brother made the call to mad dash past a t-90 which had its cannon rite on our cover, two steps out and he killed the whole team. I now love this game.
9/10

engineers are good on 64 player maps only because that means more vehicles and remember you auto-heal the vehicle your in, CAn(probably wont) increase vehicel life-expectancy).

You repair vehicles near you as well. I just jumped in a jeep and followed a tank around for a bit in a game the other day. :)

And I love AT mines. :D Except for when tards on my team decide to drive over them. Idiots.

Well no.. They both suck for BF2, seeing as you can't hear **** :p
VOIP is the way forward..

Edit: And you can't repair the vehicle you're driving in (as engi). You need to get out to do it.

Yes that's what I meant, but that guy could have ended it by disconnecting. My theory is that he was into it and went for a cup of coffee while his teammates we're getting points. Meh, why do I bother, it has nothing to do with me. :)

Yes, I tried it out today and on karkand/shariqui it was most satsifying. We cleared the area around the flag, my squadmates went in while I kept some distance, and could mow down those who spawned during flagtaking. And boy did I get supply points! I think some more power/accuracy when prone would be nice, but that's just because I couldn't hit a barn standing next to it :D.

The engineer gives me a lot of points on maps with lots of vehicles, Zatar Wetlands is may favourit map with that kit. Since TK happens so easy, a good way to service a tank in battle is to drive behind it in a DPV or similar, as Thrawn said. The tank can maneuver around without TKing, since the DPV can take some bumps. I feel safe with the shotgun he have, in fact it's becoming my favourite weapon. I'm careful with mines though.

I use a voice chat program called ventrillo, the program automatically overides all other sounds in the game when someone speaks, i think its the best.

Also, i noticed that unlike BF1942 you cant throw a mine ON a vehicle and when it moves it will blow. Thats suks, i remeber going into the axis base, mining the tanks and grabbing the flag. When the idiots get in the tanks to shoot me they blow up,great fun.

It makes sense. Mines explode when you drive over them, not when they drive over you. ;)

You can still do that, just with C4 instead, seeing as C4 now sticks to vehicles. Chuck some C4 on a vehicle, hide, wait for people to get in, blow them up. :)

i know it makes sence silly, im just saying im gonna miss it.
Also, you have to detonate c4, mines on vehicles in bf2 was automatic as soon as the vehicle moved.

ohh and its cool how the engineer sticks the fuse inthe mine when he whips them out, now thats realistic.

Hehe, I had the same thing last week.

Anyway, re: the problems I mentioned in the demo thread, I figured out that my power supply just isn't good enough for my new video card. 400W coming up next week, so I hope that'll mean the end of my problems :goodjob:
