So first two seasons, great.

2.5 episodes? Crappy. I don't want to watch a soap that's taking place in space, I want to watch a sci-fi show!

waiting for season3, crossing my fingers...

My girlfriend already mockingly calls it "a soap opera for little boys".

I think its getting worse and worse,

I think they're winding down a bit in order to set it up for the movie which will link season 3 and 4.

So probably soon season 3 will wind up again with great action/drama/suspense.. end with some kind of cliff hanger... The movie will come out and take over which will then lead into season 4.

What I'm afraid of is that worrying trend in the series I watch that focuses on personal stories.
Man, if I watch Lost or Battlestar Galactica, it's not because I want to see who's making out with who and who said what about whom. But apparently that's what the average viewer wants.

A movie? mmmh. I'm not thrilled.

Where is the option for it sucks but I love scifi?

I didn't like it from the start.

I didn't really like the first episode for some reason, though to be fair I wasn't paying that much attention. It's something that I keep thinking I should be getting into, but never quite got round to it

Seriously? How come?

One thing about it is that it's very non sci-fi in a lot of ways. They've deliberately tried to keep it somewhat "realistic" when compared to say Star Trek. Realistic is probably not quite the right word because it obviously is more high tech then current real life society - but they've tried to not use too many off the wall concepts/technologies.

Do you all know about the Battlestar Wiki?

http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Main_Page

It's fascinating and you'll learn tons of cool stuff about the battlestar "universe" but the people that write those articles either live in their parent's basements or don't have girlfriends.

I don't like the way its filmed, acting or the story. Its only worthwile bit is the space fights. It realy just hasn't griped my interest.

The show looked cool at first, then it just got a little to strange for me with their weird religion, and all their other bizzare concepts they introduce. Psilons being religious, having babies with humans, all that mythological crap about finding lost cities or whatever, all of that just got a little riddiculous.

PS. Will someone strangle that Baltar guy already? Ive been hoping for his death so long, that Im almost too tired to care anymore.

Are you mad?

Baltar is the best character in whole series. If they killed him, the show would lost about 80% of its potential.

I really hope that the 4th season will be the last.

I started watching BSG because of its awesome atmosphere and drama. It was something new, different from the other sci-fi series. All 13 epizodes in season 1 were bloody good. Season 2 and 3 proved, that "more" doesn't mean "better".

Now we have 20 epizodes in each season, but only 13 of them are good.

Also, in the season 1, Cylons and their motives were a complete mystery back then, they were dark, deadly and very scary foes. Now, when we learned a great deal about them, they are not as scary anymore. Also, I am getting bored by the constant whining of the civilians. You're running for your lives, you idiots, so stop pretending you have right to live in luxury.

Why am I not surprised you like that guy? I know its just a show but there are real life people (politicians and what not) that are that slimey.

How Id like to wring their necks.

I completely agree with that. My main gripe with the series is that the 40,000+ survivors are behaving as is they were still living in a 15-million-people city.
I mean, how many journalists do they have? How many secret terrorist cells do they have? They're big enough to have a BLACK MARKET? And their congress is as big as the entire US congress!

What did you think of the season finale? All I can say is.... woah!

Spoiler season finale talk, don't read if you haven't seen it. :
Spoiler I mean it, you don't want to know :
Can they really be the final 5? Wouldn't that mean there's a 2nd human/cylon hybrid?

Spoiler :
No, I was thinking that the final 5 have been living with humans for a bit already and those are just the few human/cylon hybrids that lived.

I've been watching this series for the past months now and I really like it.
But the last few episodes in season 3 are a little too concentrated on internal conflicts and it seems about time that the Cylons need to pop in.

What do you think of the franchise and it's newest incarnation?

The last episode was... well, brutal. It's ending, I mean. How am I supposed to wait a year for the next one?!

Anyway, I am more and more convinced, that Cylons are not really the Cylons who were created by men on the 12 colonies. I guess the 13th tribe, Gods (or God) is somehow involved in their evolution - that's why they have so strong beliefs and that's why they do what they do.

BTW, there were no night side lights on Earth in the last scene, which means that they either forgot to include the night side texture into the animation, or the Earth we saw is not the Earth of present day. Still no clue if the show unfolds in the past or future.
