Berserks01 - Space Monkies

Could this be our obviously very confused roster?

GreyFox – obviously very overseas and very skipped (or not?).
Berserks01 – obviously very anxious to keep the pace of the game and very not checking the roster – JUST PLAYED.
Rex Tyrannus – obviously very not posting our roster and very being imitated obviously very poorly <<< UP NOW??
Sammcs – obviously very disappeared with just one post in the thread.
Negyvenketto – obviously I very don’t know what to write here.
Lucky 1972 – obviously very incapable of being funny and obviously very still trying.

obviously, I'm really just an idiot. I saw that I was up last night, but forgot to say got-it. I will probably play tomorrow. Thx.

Obviously appreciated. Random lapse of insanity comes with the territory when you're :old:

Okay, quick report. No monkey business. Well, I guess it's *all* monkey business, but you get the idea. Brevity. The source of wit. So on and so forth.

JC wants stuff. I want a trained dog. Deal.

Mansa's at war with two civs, so he builds the oracle. Damned smart of him.

We learn to count, invent zero, all that crap.

Then, it only took a turn, so I went for priesthood. Plus, I wanted monarchy, which requires priests. Don't ask me why. Also, note, in the red text it says that a skirmisher killed our scout. He *was* tagging along with a couple of GK axes until numbnuts ran head first into city walls with them both. D'oh.

Finally, I started the Great Library in the capital. This required me to turn the two scientists off for a little bit, but landing it will replace them for free.

I stopped building troops, and started missionaries, they can be even more dangerous :D and we need the income from the shrine. (Mao and Julius still without religion, Banana Three, too)

I feel it was :smoke: to refuse Mao, but I don't like give techs for free. We can still be friends by sharing a religion

Hannibal founded Confucianism and declared on us

Khan made peace with MM, so did we

Tech learned: Monarchy -> revolted to HR, since we reached the happy cap and have some troops in cities.

The tech trading possibilities, I started currency. Calendar needs sailing, we might trade for it.

In that case, we'll swap Lucky. I'll play tonite/tomorrow and you can pick up after me.

Hmmmm ... Banana Three is building research. Even though it shaved off 2 turns of research, I decided to switch it to military. We need to be prepared for Hannibal's eventual invasion. Everything else looks fine.

And then Peter declares on Hannible the very next turn :p

And I was right. Hannibal sent a small stack towards Banana Three. However, MM also has a small stack outside Banana Three. Not sure what his intentions are, but he can't declare since we still have the 10 turn peace deal.

When the GL is 1 turn away, I did some trading

Civ4ScreenShot0003-2.jpg

Civ4ScreenShot0004-1.jpg

Then we built the GL :D

Civ4ScreenShot0005-1.jpg

MM is planning on settling west of Banana Three since I saw his settler heading there while playing monkey games with Hannibal's stack with our scouting warrior.

As our warrior died while showing off his bare bottom to Hannibal, a GS is born in Banana One. Since lightbulbing him only yields Sailing, I lighted him up hoping for some fireworks display and ended up with an Academy

Civ4ScreenShot0006.jpg

I played a couple of extra turns to finish Construction. We can start building pults and phants now. Remember, phants are our friends, and pults are a fun way to fly without wings

I have a missionary in Arretium that needed to be popped and convert Julius. I also have another missionary at the border of Mao waiting to sneak in and convert him as well.

Does Han still have a stack nearby? What kind of stack?

I feel we could use another city or two. Since we still have unclaimed land nearby, I want to start a settler. I don't like any of the barbs cities.

What kind of GNP graph is that? This Hannibal guy is so disgustinly wealthy!

I think we should discuss Rex's suggestion about city specialization.

GK will declare on Han, but it costs all our techs. He won't stop trading with Han, though.

I don't see a clear target for us to expand, Mao seems the most viable choice.

I would like to cripple Han a little, but don't know if it is worth the trip... He's too far away.

Any ideas wellcome.

You work on the 4th ? I get the 4th, 5th, and 6th off as holidays :p
