Best In-Game Music?

I'm a huge Deus Ex fan, but I've never been fond of the soundtrack. What tracks would you say really stand out?

i don't really know what it is, and i couldn't say that one track stands out in particular, but its got that whole terminator-edgy thing going on.

All Fifa music.....

Pokemon, I can never get the battle theme out of my head :P, Red Alert, Mario!
Mirrors Edge.

Pokemon, I can never get the battle theme out of my head :P,

Likewise. :( Is catchy!

Red Alert,

:goodjob: I like the second game's tracks the best(even if Soviet March is verrrrry catchy), probably because it's the game I learned about Command and Conquer from.

Mmm... foxy will bite, despite being a Sonic fan. From my limited foray into the Italian plumber's games, I must say he has a fair share of catchy tunes, especially the classic ones. Listening to classic Sonic music and classic Mario music alongside eachother, you can really imagine why they were such huge rivals in the old days.

My favorite piece of music in a game is that for Diablo 2 when you are in the Harem and Palace
Cellar in Act II.

Civilization II, Warcraft II and the original F-Zero had awesome music. But the best music was in Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Especially the main tune in the Light World and Skeleton Woods.

I got really immersed by the soundtrack and background music of homeworld

Non-Nintendo music?
Endwar, In my opinion. The music really pumps you up. Also, THE best credits music ever. Tell me anywhere else can you find such an epic single like that.

Once we hit Nintendo (as in Nintendo the company and Nintendo the consoles (NES, SNES)), the desicion is hard. Do I go with Mega Man? If so, which? Mario 1? Either LoZ? Metriod? It's very hard to choose

Listening to Simple and Clean reminds me:

Who could forget Kingdom Hearts' soundtrack? Pretty peaceful when exploring, fitting for each world's battles, and also epic boss music. Kingdom Hearts' soundtrack and battle design - in terms of fighting the Heartless creatures - would have made the Werehog stages far more enjoyable for me, rather than the same bland tunes over and over again...

Seriously, what the hell was up with that weird trumpets/whatever they were battle tune for the Werehog?

Carmageddon 2 :D

Though if we're including opening and/or credits music rather than just in-game stuff, some of the Super Robot Wars games get pretty damn close, Z in particular.

Thats not music, its four blank screens. you've ruined my birthday

probably not the "best" but it perfectly captured the mood of the game for me.
