I think M.A.X. was very good for its time. I think it may continue to hold the record as the longest intro movie, though of course its CGI is so dated now. :/
The game was great too ... hey you TBSers, give it a try if you can! (Yes, it is a TBS!) It had such a terrific idea all other TBS games I've tried (with somewhat of an exception in GalCiv) have lacked -- the ability to customize units. That is, you don't just upgrade one unit into another unit, but through a variety of methods you learn to improve a unit, giving it a little more speed or a little more firepower (or a little bit more range on its firepower), etc.
Nothing like creating a new version of your missile turrets that JUST puts a lurking enemy in range, then upgrading your turrets and whamo.
Legend Of Zelda: The Windwaker. Sweet music. It made me feel all fuzzy inside. And don't rip it off unless you played, it, you don't know what you're missing out on.
If you mean the storyboard-style cutscenes then yeah, that was pretty good. Made a nice contrast to the in-game graphics. Surprised I forgot it
The manual to the first Homeworld was stunning too. Had the entire history of the civilization and the different clans, not to mention the building of the mothership story. Was hard not to get immersed with the game even before I had finished installing. Was devestated when I began mission 3
