all hilarious but holy grail takes the holy hand grenade if you ask me...

"Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."

The best Monty Python film is highly dependent upon the viewers age group, prior exposure to the parodied material, and cultural factors.

Holy Grail by a landslide.

Life of Brian. Hanging on the cross at Golgotha, singing: "Always look on the bright side of life... tudumm... tudumm...":culture: Brilliant! (Also the various Judaic religious sects, especially the Suicidal Army, and the orallly challenged Roman governor. Basically the whole concept of the movie.)

From The Holy Grail I especially remember the Killer Rabbits, the Knights Who Say "Ni!", the sphynxian Quest questions and the use of coconuts instead of real horses. (This one is, perhaps, closest to the original series.)

Holy Grail winning by a landslide??

A class below the other two (especially Life of Brian) in my opinion.

They're all great, but life of brian winns for joking on religion.

Holy grail is just the most funny. Or it has the most straightforward humour.
But Life of Brian had a way bigger impact. So f best means funniest, then it is holy grail for me, otherwise life of brian.
