Really? I never heard of it.
However, If have to take issue with your naming of the Boomtown Rats and the Ramones.
I can understand, but they had only one major hit in the Netherlands.
They surely have had more than one hit in the UK and/or US.

That's what I was thinking to.

Also Huey Louis and the News - The Power of Love. Although I do have a few more of their songs, this one is probably the most well known.

I was also thinking these two, though I love Huey Lewis' 'Best of' album. :D

Didnt they have some success with Loveing you girl over here? Ive never heard from then again and thats a good thing.

Dunno. 'Life is Life' is the only song I ever heard of them. It was a hit though. Poor taste of course, but it was a hit. I like the Laibach version: Leben heiss Leben. :D

Fool's Garden - Lemon Tree

I love that song. Although, the band continued making music, and I personally like their new album very much. Their new song is also played from time to time on the radio, so yes, they're not the classical One-Hit Wonder, but yeah, somehow qualify nevertheless.

Bohemian Like You - Dandy Warhols
Ready to go - Republica

Huey Lewis and the News? You gotta be kiddin'--there was a time in the '80s when you couldn't get away from them, they had hit after hit...

"Barbie girl" by aqua. Oh wait, that caused me to hit things many times, not a 1 hit wonder.
And great classics such as "bob the builder" by surprisingly... bob the builder. The real crime was that that song was not only number 1 in the UK, it was the biggest selling single of the year in 2000.

I would walk 500 miles
and I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door

When I come home yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And if I grow old well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you

"I'm Gonna Be" - The Proclaimers :)

Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) was the original one-hit wonder with Pachelbel's Canon.

"Love like blood" - Killing Joke (1985)
 They had tons of great songs.
And the thread is about 'best' one-hit wonders, not most infamous ones.
So I go with Tainted Love as well. Though I have some sympathy for Peter Schilling's 'Major Tom'; that song is such an insane mistreatment of the German language (the lyrics simply do not fit the melody at all..."Und er veeeeeerstumd" ), it's entertaining again.
