Best sound in games?

Since getting a 5.1 surround system for my computer, I have really fallen in love with EAX and surround sound in games. It really add so much to immersion and atmosphere...

So what games have the best sound according to you? Do you have any recommendations?

Here are some of my favourites:

* Baldur´s Gate 2
* Star Wars Battlefront
* Knights of the Old Republic
* Battlefield Vietnam
* Rome Total War

Really wonderful surround-sound in those games!

Final Fantasy (Or basically everything from Square Enix)

I've never really wondered/known if there was a point in changing the sound around so I've always left it as is. What is EAX anyways?

EAX is like Creative's addon to the sound aspects DirectX It helps game developer's use surround-sound more easily, for gaming purposes. E.g. simulate directional sound, or get more voice actors talking at the same time.

touhou is madness to play, you need to be real twitchy.

also, best games to have high quality sound is of course final fantasy, and COD4, also, left4dead could be handy.
