Beyond Earth: The Uncharted Galaxy -- Developing New Mod

I am in the early stages of development of a new Final Frontier mod, "Beyond Earth: The Uncharted Galaxy".

This mod is planned as a total conversion of the original Final Frontier, using only the existing graphics. It will include a storyline written specifically for this mod along with all new factions, leaders, units, and buildings. I also plan to reimplement Espionage, Corporations, Great People, and Wonders into the space setting.

Current development is all on paper only, nothing is implemented in-game as yet. As soon as the basic details (backstory, factions/leaders, units, buildings, tech tree, civics, religion, game mechanics) are done, I will start implementing in-game.

COMPLETE: Backstory developed showing the events leading up to the start of the game.
IN PROGRESS: Development of Faction and Leader backgrounds and unique attributes.
NEXT UP: Development of units, great people / great leaders, buildings, Faction Wonders.

STILL TO GO before next release:

• Development of Galactic Wonders, Civics and Religion, Corporations, Espionage and Diplomacy, Tech Tree
• Implementation of ideas on paper in code

A couple things you will need to be careful of:
-Great People: The great person bar will need to be moved at some point, as it sits under the planet display in FF. I would recommend putting it above the culture bar. This does not need to be done immediately as it is still visible.
-Corporations: These will be quite complicated. You will need to re-implement the button (this requires a theme change, as well as numerous python changes). You will also need to fix an issue with yields not being applied to the city.
