BirdNES 2: Forge of Empires -- The Manonash

Yes, size isn't everything. But in truth, your upkeep is has been rounded for display purposes. For calculations is a bit less. :)

But since it appears to cut out of my spending in discrete units, the rounding up is significant and painful. FYI I'm not complaining about having to pay, I'm complainig about others not having to pay for states more complex and spawling ;).

Upkeep kicks in at a specific size threshold (pixel count). You have crossed it and others haven't. I can arrange to have your size trimmed a bit next update. ;)

Exactly, I'm just saying that discontinous territory and towns that have to be managed and supplied at great distance via sea should count more than a few dozen extra square kilometers of pastoralist grassland. (Plus I make Kiidor having a bigger pixel count).

Lurker's Comment: Hope Rynt doesn't have the same fate as Luallen. Damned army...

lurker's comment: Frankly I don't think anyone, even in Animas, can hope to match the military power of the Erevas at the moment.

Prydda'annwfyn is unofficially ranked number one in army score right now with 13.7.

Lurker's Comment: Why not? :p

@The Strategos, the assumption about the well, littleboot's nation is that their high military score is for a large part based on their excellent defense systems in the forests; something not exactly find throughout the Animas...

You're right, I'm sure that their larger army, the presence of a UU, and their higher military cap has nothing to do with the larger score. I think I'll have to put an * by Prydda'annwfyn when I do the military rankings explaining the real reason they are number one.

I don't think anyone else has the power projection capability to match. Still, even if there are contenders in Animas, I don't see any in the Manonash.

Lurker's Comment: I was actually trying to clarify what I thought was das' opinion on why the Erevans was a number 1 military power as opposed to littleboot's nation. But now that you brought it up, their UUs are elite forest fighters which may lead to incorrect assumptions on either sides ;)

BirdJaguar you forgot to add a great deal of my strategy I had planned.

@ Vissari
We feel this war is getting too lame and stupid. We didn't even want to be a part of it to be honest. We propose peace without humiliation. As long as we get to keep what land and are not rubbed by the face in the mud I am will to most talks.

To the Xochs
From Vissarai

Your armies and morale are broken, your southern territories are quickly falling under our control, and your country seems set for civil war. While we would like to ensure peace without humiliation, our definitions thereof may differ, we do not plan on being unreasonable. As we have spent hundreds of our own men on our great endeavor, we only ask that you surrender your southern city and sorrounding territory, as well as return the conquered lands in the north to our control. Note that we will concede a considerable amount of land around your ancestral great lakes region, in respect for the connection to the land that your people have felt since their birth ages ago.

We are open for negotiation, and will consider any counter proposals that you send. We do, however, consider this the fairest offer given the circumstances.

@Bird: Shouldn't Wendar's city be part of our territory now? They agreed to integrate into our rule so long as their religious practices and relative autonomy were not breached...

Meh. While you guys may be stronger now, with the continuos bloodshed in the Animas, we will eventually overtake you ;).

Nice job Bird.

Do you mean the new city (city of refuge) or the oracle itself?

Yes sir. Their little refuge thingy. I might be mistaken about my assumption though.
It is four little pixels that exist as an RC because of the Oracle. If you take it over, then it will disappear as an RC and maybe as a city; that status is conferred because it is 'part of' the Oracle. You can't have it both ways.

Ah, ok, whatever. I'll talk to the oracle about our weird arrangement. He'll probably be totally surrounded by Vissarai lands soon anyways.

Cantoria, you were warned.

Warned against what? I thought we had come to the agreement not to expand over the river? With all the world to the North and the East, why do you insist on trying to block me in? We have no quarrel with you and wish to find something we can agree upon. What is it you are wanting?

What part of 'East of the Hylkst' didn't you understand? We indicated displeasure towards further expansion east of the fork. Unsuprisingly we aren't liking greedy armed settlers invading the Bowl of Winds, stick to your toys on the coast.

Well in terms of power projection I think my semi-nomadic horsemen army with its thousands of remounts would do quite well, even if not being as big as some others ;).
