OOC: One question about the Italy NPC decisions. How could they be suprised by France entering the conflict ? The germans and the french are allies, so how ? I'm not complaining but I have to admit that the Italy policy was suicidal, even without knowing that Hungary and Serbia will be destroyed within a turn, it was still a conflict impossible to win. The United States presence in Portugal has four purposes: 1. ensuring an orderly prosecution of the blockade against Brazil, 2. protecting United States Navy assets engaged in the same, 3. protecting Portugal pursuant to the alliance agreement existing between the parties, 4. protection and escort of United States, allied and eligible neutral* shipping operating in international water and the Straits of Gibraltar (the latter being of particular note to Spain given its declaration respecting Italian flagged vessels).

All French and German occupied ports in the Med sea are from now on blockaded. Any ship trying to enter or leave these ports will be destroyed. No matter from which country they come.
The Med is a warzone, we advice any merchant ship to not cross it or only with Italian permission and protection.
And as a sign of god will we guarantee that any Spanish assets and people still present in Italy will be safe and protected, and will of course have a chance to leave for Spain or any other destination they wish, except France and Germany.
We can't guarantee anything for ships that try to oppose this.
We friendly ask the Spanish Republic not to send any naval forces east of the Balearic, since the Italian navy will most likely shoprt first and then ask questions if the encounter any warships near French controlled terretories.

We wanted everybody to inform us, anything thats not German or French and which isn't heading for a french port won't have any problems.

And what would be Italy's action if/when its trigger-happy military sailors blow up a ship that belongs to a neutral power, such as Great Britain or Greece? Would you blame the dead for not asking permission from Italy to navigate in the neutral waters? Would you agree to be held responsible for the loss of life and material?

What if the sunk ship will turn out to be a military vessel? Would Italy be willing to answer for its act of aggression against a navy not involved in the conflict?

It is not without your barbaric piracy. Neither of the powers that Italy is at war with used their navies to cause even minimal damage to the Italian navy or its merchant marine. You just declared the whole sea your hunting ground without any of the world's nations provoking you to do so.

Declaration by the Italian Naval High Command, concerning Trade and Commerce

This is a war. Italy faces an overwhelming enemy.
We declare that any French or German ships in the med will be seized or sunk.
Any port in the Med controlled by our enemies will be blockaded by our navy.
Any ship attempting to enter or leave these ports will be stopped.
Any ship passing the line Genua-Corsika-Sardinia-Tunis will have to inform the Italian Navy. If they don't problems could arise.
We advice all nations to form convoys if they plan to enter this region, to make it easier for our navy and stop any accidents from happening.
We do not want to attack any ships of neutral nations, but accidents happen, so please follow these rules to minimize the risk of a tragedy.


OOC: I'm using the short form Med since I'm no native speaker ^^.
These conditions shouldn't be too hard, right ? Its a warzone so some hardship has to be expected.

OOC: I think you are misunderstanding their point. Russians and the British do not care that there is a war--they are much more powerful than you. They aren't looking for a reasonable compromise, not when they can get so much more. They are not expecting that they'll have to do anything different in this war. They fully expect for you to tip toe around them instead and not cause any further disruptions.

OOC: We'll I have to admit, italy shouldn't actually give a dry fart about Russia, since they attacked our allies. Officially Italy and Russia are freaking at war.
