even the holocaust of Hitler isn't so terrible of Transatlantic slave trade.
Ok, now you're making hyperbolic statements that you can't back up.

But let's keep on topic, shall we? Toussaint Louverture and Dessalines are probably the only two Leaders I would consider for Haiti.

And about the emperor Henri Christophe? Who build the Citadelle Laferrière

or Boyer who united Haiti. Haiti have at least 5 good names to be a leader, but Toussaint L'Ouverture is the best name for the first time in the game.

And about the emperor Henri Christophe?
Given that he, if not in name then in principle, basically brought Haiti back to a slave economy with Corvee, I wouldn't really consider him IMHO.

and Haiti should only be included because of its unique culture.
Finally we can agree.

Kupe, and about others in the list? What do you think. Other I really want to see in this game is Palmares lead by Zumbi, from north-east of Brazil.

no leader who calls himself "emperor" on a nation founded by slave revolt is good.
Being emperor wasn't the bad part of him: it's the fact that he re-enslaved his own people who had fought a whole rebellion to end bloody slavery.

nope cause they are not unique enough.
In fact if civ team decides to leave Haiti for other carrbian Island civ like Jamaica or dominican republic or even Cuba, I wouldn't mind that either.

at the time have a big issue what is better, monarchy or republic, remember republic was something very new at the time, anyone knows exactly if it will works

And Haiti try to finish racism saying in the constitution "All people born in Haiti, don't matter their color of skin is black", but it dosen't work and a mixed from south, lead by Alexandre Petión make a republic south and the Black aristocracy make a kingdom in the north. To avoid a civil war between monarchist and republicans, mixed race against black aristocracy Henri Christophe give his life out to save the country.

How isn't unique enough. A black kingdom in Americas, it is very unique.

because we already have latin-American country-Brazil.
And don't give me bullcrap that Brazil doesn't represent black Brazilians because it is lead by white guy( Pedro II) when that guy did most for black Brazilian than any of its leaders.

America was a thing you know... it established republic long before Haiti.

Eh, they're only separated by two decades, so I wouldn't say long before, just a shot time before.

not that long, USA republic starts at 1776 and Haiti revolution starts 1789
If we go by the time that both were actually acknowledged as a nation, i.e. winning their respective rebellions, Haiti was established in 1804, and the USA was established in 1783.

If he's too new, then why'd you suggest Obama?
Never thought of that before now.

oh and just to let you know...
NO LEADER YOU IS ALIVE WILL BE A CIV LEADER!
Could be more polite about it, but I certainly agree. Not enough time to discuss the legacies left by those people and their impacts on history.

Twenty one year really isn't much. The US had only had three presidents at that point after struggling with the Articles of Confederation and their inefficiency; the French had tried Republicanism and crashed and burned hard. Henri's quite right that Modern Republics were very unproven at the time.
