Two problems expressed:

1) Blizzards are very inconsistent.

2) They require a lot of micromanagement to piper them from one spot to another.

Fix:

Blizzard moving spell changed to "Harness Blizzard" adds the "Blizzard" promotion to the caster, can only be cast on a tile with a blizzard, removes the blizzard. Blizzard promotion allows "Unleash Blizzard" which removes the blizzard promotion and adds a blizzard effect to the tile in question.

Blizzard (tile effect) still has a chance to dissipate on each turn, but now you can go capture a blizzard, and then place it somewhere, without the micro, and until you release it, it won't dissappear.

I've never seen a Blizzard die out? Also requiring two casts to move a blizzard one tile is adding a ton of work. Why not just make "Harness Blizzard" force the Blizzard to move with the caster, unless the caster moves into an ancient forest (Blizzards can't move here with call blizzard) or another Blizzard (so blizzards don't overwrite each other), which would remove the promotion and leave the blizzard one space behind.

i would like it if it was like a treant spell instead where you could summon one blizzard per priest. the spell doesnt seem very effective as it is now.

i may be wrong but i thought you could use magic to kill a blizzard in AoI. its been a while since i played AoI though. i dont know if you can use sun or fire magic to do that now tho

agreed that currently blizzards need way too much micro. not sure what should be done about that, but I'd love to be able to summon them instead of being forced to go blizzard-hunting :D

"Chain Blizzard" spell which creates an invisible (to other players) "Spirit of the Blizzard" unit with 1 move and flying would be nice. Priest casts the spell in a blizzard, unit spawns, and the blizzard now follows along with that unit. Then you still have to approach the blizzard to make it mobile, but then you can cruise it anywhere you want with minimal micro required.
