All they need is a little more transparency or to disappear if you soom in closer. Can't even see my terrain to build improvements when there's a lot of them.
Quite easily, assuming Sephi didn't change anything: Delete the 'Blizzards.py' file, and then references to it in CvEventManager and CvSpellInterface... Should be between 5-10 places, nothing major as everything else is just calling the blizzards file.
Without blizzards you'll just have those strange ice squares around each Illian city. I really think this system is more organic. I think FlavorMod (and from that Orbis) uses a different spreading system to eliminate the ice squares, but I like blizzards better.
I do agree with the complaint that they are too opaque. Just a little transparency would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure how Sephi merged it... but you can shrink the size of the blizzard if you open up CIV4ArtDefines_Feature.xml and search for "FEATURE_BLIZZARD" you can adjust the fScale and fInterfaceScale values.
If you open Assets\config\FFHPlus.xml you can disable the Blizzards modcomp quite easily. You can disable also a lot other modcomps which are part of Wildmana there.
