Pre-turn:
I send the warrior in Deity to Istanbul, as Istanbul is about to grow, and we will have to raise lux. It won't get there in time, but oh well. Deity is almost done with a worker, and can then build a warrior before growth. I traded Germany pottery for ceremonial burial, I hope Big didn't do this on purpose to slow the tech pace. Too late for chop to hurry granary, as it will be done soon.
1. Hello! Did you set warriors to auto-explore? It doesn't really matter, as exploring is the last thing that needs intense MM.
2. Istanbul grows, growth in 5, granary in 3. Almost perfect. Move worker towards cow. Raise lux tax, but I can put it back down as the warrior will arrive in Istanbul next turn.
3. Deity builds worker, and move it to cow. Istanbuls worker moves on cow. Put lux to zero when warrior arrives in Istanbul. :sad: Hamburgs borders expanded. Start on warrior in Deity, due in 5, growth in 10.
4. Worker by Deity irrigates cow, Istanbulian worker mines cow. I haven't played an indusrious civ in a while, sure is nice.
5. Granary done in Istanbul. Start on settler, growth in 2, settler due in 6.
6. Move explorers, and discover yet another horse.
7. Istanbul grows. Adjust citizens so it grows in 2 and settler is complete in 3. Adjust lux tax to 10%. Worker done with irrigating by Deity, and make it start roading.
8. Warrior done in Deity, start on barracks. Worker finishes mining cow, and starts roading it.
9. Istanbul grows, settler next turn. Adjust lux tax again. Deityan worker finishes road, and moves to river plains close to Istanbul. Exploring warrior discovers a nearby BG!!! [party] :band: :yeah: :dance: :bounce:
10. Settler done, move it SE. Even though it's not the best position, I want to get it before Germany. Move worker to connect cow road to Istanbul for easy passage. Lower lux tax to 0% while Istanbul is at size 3. Don't forget to raise it next turn.

Some questions:
What are our war plans for Germany? Horse rush? How early? What improvements do we want before attacking? How many workers?

City spacing. I've got a CXXXC dot map. Should we consider ICSing on the tundra, since they can only work two tiles until harbors, and those will require cash rushing. We might as well take the extra free unit support.

Research plans? GL? Self-research, buying, trading, stealing, etc. Will we not research until we've defeated Germany and have a large republic?

Government? This corresponds with research. Should we wait till monarchy before attacking? Will we attack in despotism then go to republic once we're big? Always monarchy as our goal is conquest? To have monarchy be effiecient, we need to almost always be warring to get the land to fund our commerce bonusless research?

Not planning these decisions is one of the reasons I struggle on Deity.

auto explore was not on, but i might have accidently clicked too far on my last turn. Good turns! This is where I have trouble, learning when to attack and slow expansion or expand and slow military plans. Durkz is up I believe.

Minimum research was a bad idea, the ai will just demand it away, once we meet someone else we should trade for IW

Before the next player goes we need more direction

- Move settler N to the spot by the horse.
- Worker finishes BG, team up the 2 workers (get 1 turn roads that way).

- Up lux. to keep Istanbul from rioting (settler next turn).

- Our forces: 2 spears, 5 warriors, 2 workers.
- The border cities are starting to produce vet military units now. The regular warrior near Diety can head west to uncover more fog and get us some contacts.
- My suggestion is that we build the Great Library in Izmit. There are 4 seafaring civs out there and we only have 1 contact, so doubtless we are well behind on techs already.
- We will need lots more workers to keep up with the settler factory and to pump up our GL city.
