Sorry about the wait. Finished the turns late last night, and was too tired to crop screens. Did so today after being out for almost the whole day... seems I'm busier on weekends, boo.

1750AD (385):
Preflight check. Ok, our economy is somewhat roughed up at the moment -29 gpt at 60% science. Monty and Sury are both in Emancipation, causing us some pain. This is mainly a problem because it means they both have Democracy, so they are up on us in techs. We NEED to trade techs to stay competetive, especially with our self-imposed isolated start. I will see what I can do with regards to that. Let me do a zoom through of our cities first.
Aachen is building a Treb. We get steel next turn for auto-cannons, but Trebs are fairly underwhelming. Dial a rifle instead. Also rejuggle some tiles to get us a bit more commerce.
Prague is halfway done a customs house, but that is useless, because we seem to have no foreign trade routes for some reason. We are about to hurt for happiness, so switch to a rifle.
Vienna is working on a Grocer, which is good, but it is pissed and still growing, so I stagnant it and hire a merchant.
Nuremburg is pissed and polluting at the same time. We are building a bank, which is done in 2 turns, so best to let it finish, but we lack a grocer and even a basic aqueduct. We also need to be making more troops for the cities...
Jelly is also building a useless customs house, and it is polluting. A 5 turn aqueduct is started.
Augsburg can be juggled around a bit to promote more commerce and freeze at the happy cap in a few turns. We also have a bank going here, which is a fairly good idea due to all the cottages.
Mainz is at its happy cap, so stagnant with a merchant.
Ulm lacks some commerce buildings, but that is fine, because the place has no commerce to speak of. We are building ships out of here, which seems to be a good idea, but I switch us to a Rifleman, as no hammers invested in the Frigate yet.
Florence is extremely pissed, and we decided to build a bank here first, with no grocer, no market, no library, no university, and no observatory........ well, we are almost done, so let it finish. I'll see what I can do to help this town in terms of garrison. Oh, well didn't have to try too hard. A longbow and a catapult from nearby move into the town and we lose 2 angry people. One left.
Pisa taking forever on the lighthouse, so stagnant for more hammers.
Luxemburg is pissed and has a citizen spec, which I reassign as an engineer. Temple done in 2 to fix that problem. I also notice that we have 2 units standing OUTSIDE this city on a hill. Move the archer into the city and everyone shuts up. Send the axe to Jellystone.
Strassburg is new, so not much to do here without even a granary done...
Lubeck is bad, and I'm not sure why we are having a citizen spec instead of working a coastal tile. It gets us an extra hammer, but we get food and commerce from the coastal tile, and we can then whip the granary.
Brandenburg is brand new, in the middle of the empire, and is building a theatre.... so we can run an artist as our free specialist??? Dial a granary in 15 turns.
I delete two Galleys to save some gold. We are better off building improved units. We are now at -12gpt.
Let's see what we can do with trades.
Cuts our losses to -5gpt.
Also... We need to catch up in Tech, so I will leverage our monopoly on Gunpowder...
Hitting Enter to try and get Corporation and Demo next turn.
1752AD (386):
Steel comes in, and we are in the Industrial Era...
Steam is the obvious choice for Rails fast.
Oh, and Wang Kon leaves the "protection" of Monty. Yay for one less person declaring war on us later.
So the AIs are hiding everything except Sci Method, which we DON'T want... They don't want to start trading the techs away just yet... great...
Ok, so we sink a Wang Kon Galleon and blockade some ports with Privateers. We need to be getting some returns off these ships, not just building them. I also don't understand why we sent all of them to Fake Mao island... There is little to be taken there, they should be feasting on the port cities of the enemy mainland!
Now making +3gpt.
1754AD (387):
Wang Kon wants to cancel Fish for 6gpt. Ok, whatever. The blockades are in effect this turn, sucker!
I attack the Barb town with the Musket with 61% odds and lose. Oh well. Load the worker back onto the Galleon and sail home. Privateers looking for better targets.
Nuremberg's bank is done, so dial for a grocer, as we have no barracks here.
Florence bank is done, and pissed people means a market.
Temple is Lux done, and we have no Rathaus, so let's go!
1756AD (388):
An unsupported Privateer gets punked on the Northwest side of the enemy continent. Boo.
We get a great Random Event from Lubeck.
The place is now starving though, so use the extra pop to whip the granary. lol, I spent money to convince people to settle down in the town so I could whip them

.
1758AD (389):
Continuing to punk random boats and set up blockades outside enemy cities.
Lubeck's Granary is done, and we need a lighthouse next.
1760AD (390):
An uber Privateer fights off two of Sury's caravels, to earn some big XP.
Wang wants to trade World Maps. I don't see a reason to.
More random ownage of enemy boats happens and we continue to rake in cash from Privateers.
Rifle done in Aachen, and we can build IW, but I stall as we have not a lot of health here. More rifles...
Jelly's aqueduct is done, so we are problem free in Jelly. Dial for a jail, so we can use spies here when needed.
1762AD (391):
Monty adopts Free Speech AND Free Religion, as we set up more blockades. Now blockading Sury's capital. Sure to bring a big response via caravels...
The result of this is that Monty no longer hates us. His excuse for not trading is now WFYABTA. The jerk never even traded with us.
Rifle done in Ulm, so slotting in a dry dock, as we have spare health, and not much growth potential here anyways...
1794AD (392):
Yaso gets completely cleaned out of cash by Privateers, and we continue to rack up XPs sinking ships. We get Charles Martel (General) in Jellystone. Sending him down to the GP farm, likely to imbed into Aachen.
Granary done in Straus, so dial a forge, as we need plenty of stuff in this place.
1766AD (393):
I notice we are cashing in bigtime from the privateers, so I turn up science a notch. We are technically bleeding 35gpt a turn, but the raids make up for it, lol. See how long we can sustain this...
Mainz finishes a grocer, and we are stagnant so dialing for a drydock.
1768AD (394):
lol, our treasury increased by 11gpt this turn despite the BS with 70% science.
A market is done in Florence, and I'm going for an Aqueduct so we can install drydocks.
Pisa lighthouse done, growth in 7, temple in 12. Good to go.
1770AD (395):
Nothing at all interesting happening. Blockades still bringing in tonnes of cash for deficit research. Monty does not appear to be amassing a fleet to attack us with, as his two coastal cities have almost nothing in them of note.
Rifle done in Aachen, go for another Rifle.
Vienna grocer done, stagnanting at happy cap and dialing a drydock.
1772AD (396):
Damn, Monty is teching fast. He bagged Physics and is now using Airships on our privateers. Hope they last...
Jelly's jail is done, now going for a Cannon.
Rathaus in Lux saves us a TON of money. The city has bad commerce, but mad mines. Slapping a rifle into the queue.
1774AD (397):
We lose another privateer to a caravel rush. I should start stacking these, but they don't make any extra money from blockades in pairs.
Nuremberg Grocer is done, dial a duct, because bad hammers don't contribute much to troops.
1776AD (398):
Other than that... Coal pops on the hill outside Aachen. Monster town for sure. Sury also gets a golden age, and we get another Great Scientist. I want to embed him in Nuremberg, but will let the team discuss.
Crap, Monty just teched Replaceable Parts...
Ok, RR in 15.
Ulm's Drydock finishes, so go for a Galleon, as we are pimped for boats here.
Florence Aqueduct finishes, drop in a drydock.
1778AD (399):
Frig, Vienna gets hit by a hurricane...
For some reason, I can't choose to let citizens die instead of building blow up

. I guess because it isn't a choice in real life. Boo.
Well, ok the market got blown up, and so does the harbor. Put those back in...
Rifle done in Aachen, and it's Levee time!
Augsburg is done a bank, so slot in an aqueduct to be whipped to fix the problem here.
1780AD (400):
Privateers slowly but steadily getting blown up. Justinian kills one with massed caravels, while another is being chased by Monty caravels after toasting a Galleon.
Duct done in Prague, and dialing for a rifle.
Just noticed this turn that the AI will trade away Military Tradition. This might be a good idea, as we can plunk down WP, and start cranking out Veteran Cavs. Justin will take Rep Parts and a lump sum of gold (which we have thanks to privateers). Although no one will give any ground for other, more important techs.
We still need Democracy to adopt Emanci, which is starting to kill us, although more troops can solve that issue. Troops may need to be rejuggled. Speaking of which, 75% of our military is way obsolete. Don't know if we want to upgrade them, or disband them to save money as we make more rifles.
Monty is really killing us in tech, at least in the Scientific Method area. No one has even hit chem yet though, so we still have a lock on Mining Inc.
We need more cottages around, methinks. 70% science and we are still below 600 bpt... which isn't good considering we own a continent. Might have to have some discussion about where to plow over forests/farms to plunk down cottages.
