Have a look about, things seem to be going OK. I probably would opt for war with Egypt over Arabia, more gains to make, but we can certainly add those 2 Arab cities to ours.
Tweak things a bit:
Change Sinop to walls - too corrupt for a courthouse. Edrine to Horseman - warrior will be too late. Bursa Rax > Marketplace - few shields - lots of commerce. Kafa > Courthouse - 50% corrupt. MM a little. Move the scientist from Edrine to Bursa, so it can grow.
Diplo check - can trade Egypt Engineering + 65 gold for Feudalism. Will hold off for 1 turn to link Iron and upgrade warriors to swordsmen for less cash.
IT: Rome offers ROP + alliance vs Egypt. Gift them world map as a way of saying no thanks.
Istanbul Warrior > Market Place. Iznik Warrior > Aqueduct. Ankara Rax > Walls.
290BC - upgrade 7 warriors for 280 gold. gather force to squish Bukhara. Execute trade with Egypt - costs extra 35 gold, but saved that in sword upgrades.
IT: Egypt and Rome butcher each other in our territory. Egypt is making stupid moves and goes first - they are getting eaten alive.
270 BC - Mini SOD towards Rabs.
IT: War continues Romans beating on Egypt. They have about 20 MDI+Legions marching on Egypt, who have tons of horsemen and a total inability to use them. Istanbul riots - cannot believe I missed that. Sorry.
250 Kill an arab archer. Continue with a lot of irrigation, we are in Republic - might as well enjoy the benefits
IT: RAB stack moving to reinforce. Too little - too late.
230 Upgrade 2 MDI.
IT: More fighting. Uskudar Rax > Horseman.
210 Capture Bukhara losing a swordsman and promoting another.
IT: RNG goes silly - we lose an elite swordsman to a regular warrior, then beat an elite MDI with a vetran horse
190 Position troops.
IT: Romans capture Lisht. Burkhara riots.
170 Capture Fustat - demonstrating the power of MDI! lose a swordsman. No more cities to capture and we're just going to get beat up. Going rate for Monoethism is 200+44gpt. They will give us a 25gpt discount with peace, but there are no trades. They give us 20g and 10gpt. I take it.
IT: Konya Pike > Marketplace.
150 Monotheism has been traded about a bit now. Think it's time to buy it, we don't want to fall behind. Decide to buy from Rome for Ivory, Gems 18gpt and change. This ought to stop the 15-20 troops ROPing through our territory from getting feisty,. They are the smallest possible buyer, so it will help them the least. Did not want to trade with the Arabs as they are powerful already. Start on chivalry... that'd give us a nice edge.
IT England + Rome sign alliance against Egypt. England has 1 city left

Istanbul Mplace > Library. Edrine Horse > Library. Izmit Rax > Mplace. Sinop Walls > Library.
130 Nothing too much
IT: Aydin Rax > Courthouse. Salonka Pike > Courthouse. Arabs getting hanging gardens.
110 Nothing too much.
Summary:
Think these turns could have gone better, but they wern't a total write off (I hope)

Was tired after a bad day at work!
We have more marketplaces coming online soon, which should help the economy. With a few of them and some libraries we could start our own research at a reasonable place. In general I've been trying to mine hills and irrigate to help our Republic grow.
Istanbul could be a powerhouse of a city. The hills need working and some worker merges would turn it into one of the best cities I've ever seen. It NEEDS MMing next turn when it grows.
Rome has no horses, Egypt no iron. I would be inclined to keep it that way! Because of this Egypt is defending with spears. They are also totally gassed from fighting Rome. We could probably chew off a large chunk of their country with an eye to building the FP there, but need to be fairly quick, otherwise the Romans will do it. I've started sending our MDI, swords and horses in that direction. If we attack it must be decisive and organised, with all our troops grouped together!
Our defenses need looking at as well. Reckon we should build horsemen instead of MDI and upgrade them with chivalry - we could do some serious damage then.
Tech isn't too bad - some are ahead invention and theology (and Monarchy). Don't think there's much beyond that. We should buy them when they get to common knowledge - costs a lot, but is better than falling miles behind.
Anyway, I'm feeling seriously burned out, so I've booked some holiday - going away for a long weekend, I should be back on Wednesday next week...
