Bombard option?

I would like to know. Is there a promotion for archer type of unit to bombard more then 1 tile away?

There's no promotion like that, but you can enable bombard for archer units from the BUG mod options (ctrl+alt+O), under RevDCM tab.

That would be kind of weird for archers to have a larger range than siege weapons. Although now that I think about it, sniper units already do that...

Maybe siege weapons should be given the ability to have greater range too huh?

What 'way' exactly? And I'd fail to see why there'd be a connection between lengthening the range on a ranged bombardment and having the siege weapons defend first... So that part is just plain confusing.
