This was our most popular game since BOTM 95 back in 2015 with 26 entries!!

People seemed to enjoy the luxurious Garden of Eden although only 3 people turtled up and went for Culture, amongst a lot of great entries @Kaitzilla did an amazing job with a 450AD Conquest victory.

The cataphracts did their job although if I was doing the map again I would sure the ring was at least 3 tiles wide everywhere, although it did reqrd good scouting - and the use of spies by some was very clever.

A few complaints re backwards AIs they actually ran away in 8 out of my 10 tests (using the AutoAI mod), trading happily amongst themselves and leaving the player in the dust. This was why I added a lot of jungle to slow them down, perhaps I overdid it!

Thanks to you all for participating - it's very satisfying to see such a strong response.

Incredibly close score-wise! Congratulations to Kaitzilla with a very impressive win given the restrictions.

If anybody turtled up for space in the garden, did it have the required resources or did you have to capture aluminum or something like that in the rings?

Hah, see I'm dead last with the only incomplete entry :(

Thanks for the great game! Nice to see more people taking part. I took a religious loss the game before this one, was nice to get some revenge :D

I recall their being a plethora of aluminum. At least 3 or 4 in the Eden archipelago. Coupla coals too. Little good it did me.

Wow...Sir @shulec with an entry!

@Kaitzilla what were your initial fighting units?

Yes, meant to mention that!

The hills were peppered with late game resources, I figured you had enough goodies without someone popping another one on t10 lol.

Fastest and slowest diplo!

I am now 2 Eptathletes behind nocho.... dont think I am every going to catch up!

Cool! My gambit to grab a Cultural Award worked, so now I don't have to try that strategy any more! :mischief:

But I really should get serious, after all of these years, about finally completing an Eptathlon. I still need Conquest and Gold (and, unofficially, a Cow). Those might be difficult among this crowd, so may I need to wait a few more years for more of my competition to retire from the game. :D
