At 1200AD your auxiliary cities must have been busy with temples while mine were already concentrating only on GPP generation.


I prefer completely peaceful games basically because they are played faster in real life time. I only go to war in my cultural xOTMs in situations such as finding Monte as my closest neighbour.

I usually play the 'Aggressive AI' game option, which makes them sign cease fire pretty easily. I suppose it was a risk in the XotM, but I did it to Fred in my game. IIRC, he talked peace before alphabet. It was easy to repair our relationship and be good trading partners after Alphabet so he never bothered me. Even with 'close border' tension.

No, all my cities were building wealth that late in the game. Some of the Aux cities had already produced their final Gartist so they were doing merchants and doing them less aggressively. You were maybe starving a few more cities than I was as this time. The main difference tho is probably just the free specialists you got from Merc.
