I have to say, i find this scenario HUGELY enjoyable, even if waiting can get a bit long during Japan's turn when it is invading india. Ok, so i played as america, not a whole game but a long enough time. So heres what i think. You have somehow captured the naval aspect REALLY well in this. I find my carrier groups travelling together and using f-15s to scout first, tehn bombers to pound enemy cities/ships. First comment though is that the capitols need to be worked out. Japan's capitol is in Central China? Germany's is Vichy? What i would suggest is that you create a few new buildings "British domination" "French Domination" "Chinese Domination" etc that act like forbidden palaces to reduce corruption, as i think this is what you were getting at and maybe have each of these produce a certain kind of unit every so often. Next thing: more wonders! LOTS more! lets have some factory type wonders that produce units, production, defense, etc. i want to see germany pumping out ME-262s from their cities! BUT i think there should be an expanded tech tree to track the progress of your version of the fantasy war. for now though, i would move mech inf and jet fighters to later techs, say integrated defense and smart weapons, respectively, to keep the fighters and infantry in the game longer, plus it will be more dynamic, since it will be easier to take cities. (let me tell you, my invasion of mainland england was rough. i landed 20 tanks, and 10 mech inf. escorted by 3 carrier groups +2 battleships and 5 cruisers. I pounded plymouth into submission and due to lack of marines, i just landed my substantial force. I was beaten back so badly that i only had 4 tanks, each with ONE hp left, with which to take the city. though i did this, i couldnt continue the offensive and was forced to try again much later)
Ok, im rambling a bit, but if you would be interested in my ideas to help this scenario get better, please ask!
(just for my credentials, i created a substantial part of the mechanics of Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire (RFRE) and worked on Heart of Destiny a lot too)
