[BTS 3.19] Earth 35 Civilizations MOD

Hei, alireza1354 I remember that you on my old "Earth 31 Civs" version had the same problem, but MAYBE I found the solution:
In the Earth 40 Civs.ini file try to set this thing:

; This mod is only for single player games
SinglePlayerOnly = 0


Try to change SinglePlayerOnly = 0 to SinglePlayerOnly = 1

I just tested it and it doesnt work. The word "multiplayer" cant be chosen. When I return it to "singleplayeronly=0 I can choose multiplayer. But then in the stagingroom, I cannot choose the "new game" option. When I load the scenario to be able to play the world map, my brother cant see me in the staging room although he has the same mod installed. It isnt like that with other mods, but with this one it is :(

WARNING! I FOUND A BUG WITH THE LIMITED RELIGION MOD: Seems like only SOME CIVS CAN FOUN RELIGIONS! And others CAN'T FOUND...

I think we will return to the normal inquisition 1.6 version... This story get me mad... :mad: :mad: :mad:

Can someone find out WHY the LIMITED RELIGION MOD doesn't work in this mod?

Is very easy to merge my mod to bmarnz mod and I can't understand why it doesn't work.

I downloaded this with ~500kb ;)
I only tried multiplayer with direct IP connection and that worked...
Is there some kind of quickfix for the religion problem? I want to start a game this evening but this may be a serious flaw...

Btw I think this doesn't really matter but I just noticed (while trading some CIVS for Barbarians to improve performance) that some starting locations arent correctly specified...
MAGYAR, TIBET, AUSTRALIA, ABORIGINES, ARGENTINA, CANADA, MAASAI, BRAZIL all got StartingX=1, StartingY=1 ...
I'm aware that these are all the custom Civs... just wanted to mention...

edit: some others seem to have 0,0...

Anyway, I dont really have experience in modding CIV... just doing some quick editing using notepad++

Like I said - I'm not a modder...
I tried to exchange some CIVs for Barbarians but the Map crashes on initializing.
I searched for errors and tryed several solutions f.ex. removing corresponding entryes in the other mod files.
Anyway - even if I only remove 1 Civ the map crashes... :mad:
Got a hint for me? :confused:
 
First of all, your mod package doesn't include all the VD XML files needed to load the game. I have to copy and paste the \assets\XML\ directory from the VD mod over your mod for this to work. Had to do this last version (38 Civs) to manually merge the VD mod with yours. I think you have some VD files in one of the upper directories to your mod on your system. Hence when trying to load, it doesn't find them in your MOD and loads them from defaults somewhere else (\civ4\bts\assets or civ4\assets\ ?).

From your last version (38 civs), I was not sure why your last mod kept dying at load up of the scenario, so I installed a clean copy of BTS and 3.13 patch puls updated graphics drivers and still crashed. Worked ok without VD, but won't load with VD, so I copied the VD \assets\XML\ files (only ones different than your mod) and worked ok. Same thing this mod version (40 civ full). Any one else have this problem?

Confirmed no religion options in tech for Arabian civ. Will dig around to see if I can get lucky, but hard to figure with all the add in mods.
 
Weird, if I select Custom Scenario and turn off "choose religion" then I can found Budhism with Arabians even though it doesn't say I can in the tech tree.
 
Liambane you should really to ask to admin Thunderfall for a space of download for your file on Civfanatics.com as your fill is enough good to be hosted by civfanatics...

Try to delete civilizations using NOTEPAD. YOU MUST start deleting civs from CIVILIZATION NUMBER 39 After this reload the map and add barbarians using editor. Note that the civs you clean disappear from the map BUT when you use NOTEPAD the 39th Civ must be Leadertype NONE instead of Brazil. Can't have civs until 38th... This is what you need to do for remove from the MAP the 40th Civilization...

I know. In the 38 Civs version I told everybody that VD files are missing and that you need to dowload and merge it by yourself... :lol:

In this Last Version uploaded (17-december) VD is INCLUDED. And the modular civilizations I add use VD too... Just dowload it and put in the MOD folder... And play... It's all Inclusive! :lol:

Yup, It's true. That's cause you download the LIMITED RELIGION version of my mod... I realized that some civs can found Religions, and Other Civs can't (:mad:) ... Plus the tech tree doesn't say you can (:mad:) . That's why I upload this "fixed" version that don't use Limited Religions. As you can read some post before, this problem is very annoying and I'm still looking for some Good Guy :mischief: :mischief: that Fix it for me, since I'm unable to do this... :D :D

However, I think that the version I uploaded yesterday should be FREE FROM BUGS!!! And for the moment should be the final one...

Other plans I have is to ADD the NEXT WAR MOD stuffs and to Fix the LIMITED RELIGION bug... However since now I'm healed, cause I was sick and I had lot of time to "improve my mod", now progress will be SLOWER cause I need to go back to work and return to social life... :crazyeye: :crazyeye: :crazyeye:

THX!- I used notepad(++) but "killed" 10 Civs - tryed deleeting and renumbering .... . 'll try that ASAP :goodjob:

What u mean with direct-ip connection? I have 2 pc's in my room, and me and my brother play the game. Can we have a direct-ip connection too?

How does this work? We cannot have an MP game :( Its so frustrating!

Sure you can - its not necessary or wise to use the online services (especially) in lokal networks ;)
First you got to decide who wants to host the game (server) and find out his LAN-IP::
Just hit
start->run-> type: cmd -> type: ipconfig
to get the IP on the server cmputer.
You will get some Info on all your network devices.
You need the IP Adress of your LAN device (which is connected to the router or directly to your brothers PC) - It may look something like this 192.168.0.1 .

Then get into the game and choose direct IP -> the server needs to host/start a game - the client just need to enter the IP and connect to the server.
(The menu-names may differ - didn't check...)

If you need screens or got further questions just ask... :confused:
Also you may need to open up some ports on the router....

But still this beautiful mod cannot be played in multiplayer setting, and thats so frustrating :(

Something IN the mod has to be edited to allow it I think...

Are you sure you're running the newest BTS version? In some previous version custon GFX wasn't allowed...

Running out of ideas :rolleyes:
 
Hmmm how strange.... Multiplayer indeed works when joining by direct IP connection. Why doesnt LAN work then?
