Firstly, and I feel the need to say this, Jesus H. Christ TLO! You racked up 9,000+ posts in under two years! That's amazing! Mine is around a third of yours and I've been a member since 2001 (technically the 511th member apparently).
mechaerik posted this in the unit request thread, and honestly its too awesome not to use in this mod. Look at these Zulu horsearchers!!!

I MIGHT use two of these and the Zulu horseman I have with a Zebra skin on the Horse, but I don't know, I might have to throw three of these bad boys in there. Its pretty cool and unique, although completely ridiculous. What do you guys think?
Firstly, and I feel the need to say this, Jesus H. Christ TLO! You racked up 9,000+ posts in under two years! That's amazing! Mine is around a third of yours and I've been a member since 2001 (technically the 511th member apparently). Having said that I have to say a couple of things; firstly I like Casimir as a leader for Poland. Mainly because he represents an earlier period, and I prefer to have my leaders cover a range of eras if I can. In my original Poland mod I had Casimir and Walesa. Secondly I don't think simply saying "well Poland didn't suffer as much of the black death so that isn't amazing or notable" is sufficient, don't you think that in and of itself is an accomplishment? Its not like they didn't know what was happening, or didn't make any effort to prevent it! And you can say all they did was pray and blah blah blah, but anyone who has read the history of the plagues knows that is not even remotely accurate. These Kings knew they weren't anything better than anyone else, at least in a physical sense, and realized that there were ACTUAL REMEDIES they could employ. So I wouldn't just write his reign off based simply on an ACCOMPLISHMENT! I mean the leader should ultimately get the credit for whatever happens, it isn't like Bill Clinton, who presided over one of the greatest growths of the US economy really had anything to do with it other than being President! Hardly any of his policies passed because his congress was part of the opposition, but he is mostly remembered here for his economic propserity.
As an LH-maker (and sorry to throw my weight around, but I did gain it honestly) I would say that (1) the face and hair DOES look like Casimir's, in fact even in the picture you showed me it does, and (2) it is easy to make an LH look bigger, look what I did with Dusan! If we just made his eyes brown and his skin lighter, moved the camera in a bit more and moved the LH down you'd be singing a different tune. Believe me.
Finally, why'd you guys bump out my preview posts man!?!? I was going to put up Indian and Sioux previews in those posts and now its stupid because they are on an old page! Damn it!(JK)
How is the black death an accomplishment? I mean, I think Poland was more lucky than anything.
We were the strongest in Europe for that period because everyone else in Europe was coughing out blood. As for internal matters, he was an average ruler. Just like Trajan was, just blessed that he was ruling a country that was having a golden age/peak.
As for Clinton, isn't he regarded as one of the worst US presidents in history?
As for someone who represents the time period, how about a Polish Hero? Someone who turned Poland into a state, took over all the Polish citystates of the last 1000 years and turned it into 1 Polish unified state? Someone who converted the Poles to christanity and defended both militarially and diplomatically the young country against eager Germanic states ready to expand to the east? Mieszko the First!

Also, Pilsudski is a much better choice than Lech Walesa from the Modern time period.
No, he is not- read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_rankings_of_United_States_Presidents. He is usually among the best 20 or so (out of 42, but still...), according to these polls. I can tell, from an international point of view, Clinton is very popular, a complete opposite to the hated Bush.As for Clinton, isn't he regarded as one of the worst US presidents in history?
Well, you know what the problem is- we have a Walesa LH, but don't have a Pilsudski LH (yet). Also, Pilsudski is a much better choice than Lech Walesa from the Modern time period.
Sometimes keeping something together or running smoothly during a period where everyone else around you can't is an accomplishment. If Poland declined during this period you'd probably say it was the black death and no ruler in Europe was successful during that period. I'm not saying he was the greatest leader in Polish history, but I don't think he is any worse a candidate than most other Firaxis leaders. Sitting Bull is an awful choice if you ask me. That's like putting Cleopatra in there. Their nations collapsed under their reigns
I see you changed the Sioux flag to the Ogdala flag.
