[BtS] DIPLOMACY: a mod for Diplogames!

Great stuff. I'm putting together some more Puerto Rican units as we speak. You guys should check out the Hitler we made in my LH Gallery (check my sig) and don't forget to rate him!

EDIT: @ Madman, feel free to alter the greeting statements for any of my leaders. I just threw them together so if you have a better idea, specifically a famous quote, that would be fantastic of you.

I have used some of your greetings, actually. I altered most of them to replace names and places with XML triggers.

I think I'll do Stephen of Hungary next.

Here's Stephen of Hungary. Obviously, he's pretty holier-than-thou.

First Contact Text:
I am [OUR_NAME] of [OUR_CIV_SHORT]! Welcome to my Kingdom, [CT_NAME]. It is through divine will that I am here before you; to what do YOU owe your presence before me?

Refuse to Talk:
Don't come back until you've converted, you pagan son of a badger!

No Peace:
Talk to the Holy Right, [CT_NAME]!

Friendly Greeting:
Welcome back to my palace, [CT_NAME]! I thank God that I can receive an honorable ruler like you in my kingdom.

Annoyed Greeting:
Oh, it's you, [CT_NAME]. Did you postpone your weekly chat with the devil to talk to me?

Demand Tribute Weaker:
Even pagans like you can help the [OUR_EMPIRE] in times of need, [CT_NAME].

Demand Tribute Equal:
I have the divine right to demand this, [CT_NAME]. If you don't pay up, God has a steamy pile of heavenly wrath in store for you.

Demand Tribute Stronger:
Give me this, and my armies will go spill the blood of some other heathen on the ground.

Here is some text for the other Hungarian leader, Arpad.

First Contact Text:
Hail [CT_NAME]! I am [OUR_NAME], leader of the [OUR_EMPIRE]. Welcome to our rich lands! If you have come to test my hearty warriors I bid you leave now, or else you shall forever rest in [OUR_CIV_SHORT]!

Refuse to Talk:
I won't exchange a single word with you, [CT_NAME]!

No Peace:
Never! My rider hordes will destroy you!

Friendly Greeting:
Welcome back, [CT_NAME]! Join me and my horsemen as we ride out in search of villages to raid!

Annoyed Greeting:
[CT_NAME], what is it now? My horsemen are due to raid some villages right now!

Demand Tribute Weaker:
Surely you could be nice and share this with the [OUR_EMPIRE], [CT_NAME], right?

Demand Tribute Equal:
Do not test my hordes, [CT_NAME]. Do not even try. Give me this and we won't be a threat to you.

Demand Tribute Stronger:
Hand this over, [CT_NAME], or your lands are as good as mine!

Hey, Capo. I'm making a flag for England. It's a rose, but I'm thinking: should I have a red rose with a white background, or a white rose with a red background?

I'll probably go with that, since the Tudor Rose is mostly red. My flag isn't a Tudor rose, though, but just a regular one. I wanted to go with a Tudor Rose, but nothing came out right.

How about this?

h-Tudor-Rose.jpg

It's okay. I like the rose I used.

You know I just realized; with England getting a rose and Ireland a shamrock, since Scotland already has a thistle all three of them will have plants on their flag.

Maybe we should give a certain plant to the Netherlands... or I could make a Jamaican module... :mischief:

The Jamaican module wouldn't be a bad idea, but I would put them as West Indies (Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, Trinidad, etc.)

Their flag would be from the West Indies Federation, and the units would be based on the English, but black. There's a good Eric Williams LH too.

Damn it, me and my mouth....

Maybe in the next set.

How you doing on those Boricuas?

England: Rose
India: Taj Mahal
Khmer: Coat of Arms
Polynesia: Flag of Easter Island
Poland: Coat of Arms of Warsaw
Rome: Colosseum
Russia: Kremlin
Scotland: Unicorn
Siam: Garuda
Sioux: Ogdala Sioux Flag

Pretty well, I still have a few things to do though before I come up with a preview, just give me a couple of days. I don't have preview pictures as I go because I want this to be kind of a surprise for you. It'll be good though. Don't worry.

I wanna know if this idea is too offensive.

I've been thinking, since you mentioned adding the Nazis in the Just For Fun Pack, what the Nazi UB would be.
Of all the Nazi Germany civs I've seen in mods, they always just use the German UB.

So my idea...
Labor Camp, replaces prison, +10% production.
I know it is... dark. But it is quite possibly what the nazis are most well known for.

Edit: Looks like Dale gave his Nazi civ a UB that's less offensive -and- still historically accurate. Krupps factory works well.

Soviets definitely need an espionage-boosting UB, though. If the USSR is known for anything (that can be even remotely considered posititve), it's top notch espionage.
I know it'll be a good while before we see this pack, just thought I'd go ahead and throw out a suggestion. Maybe some sort of KGB Office to replace the Bureau?

Capo, one question. What color is the Teutonic Order?

@ Xenomorph: I am aware of this, but thank you for bringing it to my attention. FileFront keeps crapping out on me, I'll put them back up but if you have a suggestion for another hosting site (hopefully one without a wait time) that would be helpful too.

@ TAdF; I was thinking of an SS HQ to replace the Security Building or whatever, but that's a good idea too.

@ Madman;

Code:
	<ColorVals>
		<ColorVal>
			<Type>COLOR_TEUTON_GREY</Type>
			<fRed>0.93</fRed>
			<fGreen>0.93</fGreen>
			<fBlue>0.93</fBlue>
			<fAlpha>1.00</fAlpha>
		</ColorVal>
		<ColorVal>
			<Type>COLOR_DARK_GREY</Type>
			<fRed>0.25</fRed>
			<fGreen>0.25</fGreen>
			<fBlue>0.25</fBlue>
			<fAlpha>1.00</fAlpha>
		</ColorVal>

I think the Teuton Grey is the "white" and the Dark Grey would be the "Black." I used these colors so they didn't overlap with a white civ's borders or barbarian borders. You might have to check the module for the specifics, that is if you have it.
