one more thing,
guys,
the ai, just wont use the aerial transports/gunships, so if your on an island , no other civ will come to you, once the ai is set to allterrain, it just wont go over ocean to kick you,
right now, i have two options:

1. ignore allterrain and base the game as the vannilla - units for land and units for sand sea.

2. remove the sand see, so youll have one chaotic land mass, i can increase desert size though, so there will be larger desert , then atleast the ai attacks alot.

3. option, someone with sdk knowlegde can fix this and make a true allterrain code, or someone then can do a good map script that will know how to use land terrain and spread it on a map just like ocean.
does anyone know someone like this?

Can you make the sandsea into land, but still keep the look of sandsea while at the same time ensuring that cities cannot be built on that area?

I think that would fix the problem.


Yeah, Johny I have no idea how to view your files. Can you just make a dds or jpeg copy so I can look at what you are doing on photoshop. These are buttons right?
 
Oh one more thing. Really small. Turn modular loading to 0 for the WoC Lite stuff.

It is is the Civ4Config file in *****/Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword

You probably know how, but wanted to let you know in case.
 
Just an idea, an artist can sure do it:
The next war clone worker, with a black suite and a gun, would be a perfect unit, i think.
Changing the color to black is not a big deal, and i've also seen workers with guns (Garret made them), so i think, you should request something like that.
 
I can try anything. Just finding time is usually the problem. Buttons are easy for me. I need to look to make sure I have your buttons. But will let you know if I don't.

I could try the texture out, but same problem with time usually. I am trying to work on testing SDK at the same time. On the WoC Lite stuff. So just a lot of things at once.

And thanks for good comments. I can work on the corporations as well if you got any ideas when I get the chance.
 
You might want to send me the buttons in case. Now that I am looking at the files I got from keldath.

I will looking into making a promotion atlas then first with the promotion symbols.

I can try to make a building atlas as well, but with WoC version we could make these modular if you guys are interested.

The promotions always need an atlas though.

The unit classes is again up to you guys if wanted modular or not. I would prefer doing some of these modular.

Why. Because if everyone gets on same page with WoC stuff we can share stuff back and forth in modules like this.

Anyway I will give them a shot here. After I get the chance to get all these files in one mod and make another zipped up file of the mod. Thanks again.

Um..

Do you want to use the Gods of Old missionaries as well?

If so I think I could try to change the color on their robes to match color of the block in the religious symbol anyway as well when I get the time.

Just an idea. And corporations I could do as well whenever you guys get some ideas as what to use if any.
 
It might work. If I can find some pictures related to them or an idea of what the corporations do. If I got an idea of what they do I can get creative on it.
 
I tried fooling around with the map generator. Anyway if someone wants to give a shot there it is. I may look at it more later. I can not get rid of the stupid rivers.

Corporations are not that big of a hurry. Just figured I would ask to do them around the same time as religions. No rush on them though.

well thats a start!

it created me an all land terrain map, the only bummer is, that - it only created one land type - grass (arid).

dont try to get rid of the rivers, i took care of it by removing their graphic and effect.

as i pm'em you,

the main purpose on map generation - is to replace ocean and coast - with a land based terrian , so there wont be a sea domain.

not sure if this can be made through the python - perhaps you can check the mapgenerator.cpp on the sdk that youve included?
 
Anyway there are some screens of what I had. It was not all one terrain, but did not look nice.

I tried to point out what the rivers were doing. They still have a clear line running and of course still fresh water.

And the few coast come up as deep desert. Well I don't know how easy it really is in the SDK or not. Maybe simple I have no clue.
