[BtS] "Mars, Now!"

Great mod bro love the new civc system

Nice to hear that :).
I hoped, that the categories make sense and have flavour :).

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks :).

who gives this mod "only" a good:confused:? there are not only so many new features in it:cool: Please explain your self!:trouble:

No, that's fully understandable ;).
My mod is not polished, lacks continious development, and there are still leftovers from BtS in it.

I downloaded the install version for windows 7 and it installs right, but when I try to start it, it does not start, the screen just flashes.

Mmhh...then we have to try some things.
First: Do other mods work for you? For example FfH2 or Dune Wars?
Second: Can you load the mod through entering BtS -> Advanced -> Load a mod?
Third: Because Win 7 has also this admin "problem", please check, if the folder for the mod exists. It should be in C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Civ4\BtS\Mods (or whereever your BtS is installed, paths may differ a bit), and should be named "marsjetzt-v03".

I've had no Windows 7 problems...
btw, is there any possibility of a Mars, Now! thing where the concepts (like the Space shuttle thing) are further explained? I've often wondered what they mean, but the Civilopedia doesn't offer much insight :( In the next patch do you mind putting more things in the Civilopedia that show the concepts behind many of the features like that? Thanks

By "Spaceship" I mean the bonus that appears every now and then that calls it self the lost shuttle from the first mission or something. I looked in the Civilopedia for that and found that there was no explanation. Was this like supposed to have been something from a previous idea where the game mimicked afterworld and this was like the movie "Mission to Mars"? I founded a city near it and connected to my capitol and the shuttle didn't do anything at all, neither in my favor nor against me. I also found that many buildings don't have entries, like 42 or some others whose names elude me.

Hi there, brand new poster here.

First off, I love this mod you've made. I've been playing it to death for the past several versions and it's a blast. I've noticed some problems with the latest patch, however...

When coast appears as a result of terraforming, it initially appears as "Coast/Coast" and is listed as impassable, granting no yield. Even when you get the Searching for Water tech, this doesn't change. I tried entering the world builder and placing coast manually, but the same thing happens only now there's no water graphics for some reason, and it's listed as "Coast/Peak" (also impassable with no yield.) These coast areas can't be worked except to put down a subsea road (with Rocket Systems), which changes them to "Coast/subsea road" and provides their regular 3 food, 2 gold yield.

In case it matters, I've been running the game on Windows 7, and had no problems with Patch L.

The "lost shuttle" is an unique feature...right, there's no description for that in the civilopedia, i have to add it.
It does nothing special, it just improves the yield of the file, like you've maybe recognized.

42:  okay, that's the most undescriptive name for a wonder, right. Mmhh...i think, i should add maybe some entries from wikipedia to that.
Thought, that every sci fi fan knows, what it has to mean :D.

Hi there, brand new poster here.

Then welcome to CFC :).
Nice to hear, that you've played the last versions, and that you're only registered here to report bugs. Thank you :) (that's not meant sarcastic or so. You're supporting me, so that's really meant true).

Ups, coast should have yield, that's really a bug.
The strange appearance of the name "Coast/Coast"/"Coast/Subsea road" is a problem with the way i did the water roads. I did not think, that somebody would notice it.
"Coast/Peak" is a result of the worldbuilder playing, that should not appear ingame, i hope.
I did not test it for the yield. I thought, it would still give you the food and commerce.
I have to fix it. I can hopefully do that next week, on the weekend :).

>Hi Bro
>
>The J You should make A Mars, Now 2 you know like
>A Bigger Civc system
>More Units
>and more maps
>and more civ
>able more civ on maps to fill the gaps
>can build building that slow place trees and grass land on the plant so at the end of the game the plant will look like earth.

I don't like to add things just for the sake of more.
I'm already unsatisfied with the current buildings (flavorwise), and i have no idea, where i could add units with a good reason.
The civic system is fine for me at the moment. Or do you have a good idea?
And i don't know, which civ could make sense here. I thought about a south-east asian alliance maybe, but nothing concrete.

The plants: Yes, somehow like this is planned, and will sure come, when i have the time :).

Sadly, i'll not be able to update the mod this weekend to get rid of the newest bugs, because i have some RL issues, which prevent it, sorry :(.

Oh, I know what it means, I was just surprised to see there was nothing on it in the Civilopedia.

Btw, is there a chance that BUG or BULL will be incorporated into this mod?

I can't load the mod using advanced, most mods work for me, but "giant earth map" does not. The folder does exist.

If i had the time now, i would create a BUG addon, but BUG will never be incorporated in the main download.
The reason is just, that there shouldn't be too much new things at the same time, because this would sure confuse new users. The already existing changes are sure enough to confuse one :D.

I am getting an error that says "Boost_Python-VC71-MT-1_32.DLL was not found" I have re-installed it and it still won't work

 interesting.
Could you please give me some more details about your civ installation?
All separate DVDs/CDs? With/Without Warlords? From a download shop? Civ Complete? Did you patch?

First: The same as above.
Most mods: Including for example FfH2, Planetfall, RoM?
