[BTS Module] California

Hi Dwolf,

First very nice mod, congratulations & thanks !
I've seen you created many new civs, my question is : is there a process to get all of these in a single mod ? I mean get Nazy Germany and California in the same game ?

I was looking for my old Patton head to download but I noticed that you listed the C-47 as a bomber, it was a transport plane for dropping paratroopers such as over Normandy, Market Garden, etc.
 
Well there's no air transport so I listed the plane as a bomber if that's what you mean.

if not then...I thought I removed the bombing capabilities like I did to the c130.
 
Yeah I did dump a few leaders since they weren't up to par...Standford & Brown since they were just still pics and I also removed Warren as you mentioned. Check out the diplomacy music I gave Arnold.
 
There is a bug in the module:
I had founded the city of Sonoma, but Civ 4 suggest a variable as a city name: TXT_KEY_CITY_NAME_SOMOMA. But in other file, there are TXT_KEY_CITY_NAME_SONOMA with the right city name below this variable.

Sonoma is my tenth city in the game, but most of the list was skipped. Maybe there is a language problem. In the list, all cities are in english, but not for german language. Is this true?

thanks for reporting the bug. As for the cities being in English...yes, I didn't add tags for other languages because I noticed that the when founding a city, the city name would display fine, regardless of the language.
 
Ok, I had checked other files with city names. Languages are only important for cities with different names in different languages, e.g. Vienna (english) = Wien (german).

But there is still a problem after founding 5th city: in the list, it must be named as 'San Jose', but it is named as 'Santa Cruz' (number 14 in the list).
If the 10th city is founded, Civ 4 takes names from other civs.
Very strange.
 
hmmmm...I've noticed the same problem with Mexico...my other mod...

I told myself I wouldn't do this but I'll have to do this the "cheap" way and put the actual names under Civilizationinfos instead of having TXT_KEY_CITY_NAME.

I will have to check the TEXT files later but for now I guess that fix will do. I'm working on my civilization mods website right now *coming soon*


EDIT: okay I reuploaded California with new fix.
