[BtS-WoC] World of Civilization - Modding Standard

I run Vista on 2 machines one is a normal bts install, the other computer is a raid 1 set up and is installed in d drive instead of c drive, what install location did you use?

Im CTD as well on a new W.O.C install. My game is on a seperate harddrive D: where most of my games are given my windows HDD is a 32gb Raptor.
I run Windows Vista Ultimate with 4gb ram and a Nvidia 8800 GTX. Pentium 660.

1. I don't touch a thing and i run BTS
2. Go to load a mod, load W.O.C 1.2
3. CTD
4. Check windows task manager and Beyond the Sword is running in the background but nothing else happens.

I do have a question though, the unloaded modules folder is the folder for modules we DON"T want loaded in the game correct, and everything in the modules folder is everything that is loaded on start-up (sorry there is no FAQ that i can find :P)

If you can point me towards a folder or anything that has the error codes i would happily post them here

Hi guys, I can handle this, since I'm Brazillian too.

Cara, você tem duas opções:

1 - instalar o WoC 1.0 e depois os modpacks
2 - instalar o WoC 1.2.

O 1.0 é mais antigo e algumas coisas não funcionam direito ainda. E nele você tem que instalar cada módulo separadamente. No 1.2, os módulos já estão inclusos, então e só instalar ele que tá tudo feito. Você inclusive pode fazer os 2 ao mesmo tempo, eles são instalados em diretórios diferentes.

Depois de instalar, entra no jogo, vai em advanced, load a mod, e aí escolhe o mod. Dependendo do que você instalou, eles vão aparecer na lista de mods.

Outra coisa, você precisa do Beyond the Sword atualizado pra versão 3.17, senão nenhum deles vai funcionar.

Espero ter ajudado. Qualquer coisa me manda mensagem em pvt, que o pessoal não vai gostar muito de postarmos em outra língua.

Here is a picture of the problem with the unit not being able to do ANYTHING in the game. There are no action buttons at the bottom and all you can do is move the unit around the map.

Has WOC hit the end of the line for updates?

Hehe, you just can't wait it seems. Over in the WoC forums, they were asking for beta testers of version 1.3, maybe you should give that a try.

in first much thanks for this mod . WOC rulez :) And I have two questions(sry for my english) .

1- How turn off scrollable scoreboard ? I cannot find how do that . This no much critical problem, but while longer play after alt-tab scoreboard scroll to up and with cca 10 civs i dont see anything and I must scroll down.

2- Speed . I have like mod History of making mod but in later stages of game waiting between turns is 30 seconds and game is too slow . I want play Woc with resources,technologies, units,graphics but game is slow too, so my questions is what unloadable module have bigger affection on speed ?

PS.I have Core 2 Duo E8400@4Ghz, 4gb ram, Nvidia 260, Win XP SP3 and playing on standard size maps with max 11 civs .

WOC seems to be lost in the shuffle. I've been waiting for a new release.
 
Ben working on the units adding full function DCM to air and Archery units. Had a bug causing ctd, but finally found it after a week of looking. Doing some fine tuning now.
 
My vote would be to defer battle effects until a subsequent release, if at all. While it might be cool, it can't be worth delaying the next release to include. I am going through WoC withdrawal! I am very excited to hear that you guys are close to posting the new release and will keep checking every day.:cool:
 
The Battle Effects break the scenarios. So I would not necessarily recommend it. The WoC Full version has some extra DCM things versus what I put in the WoC Lite. Faichele put in an extra DCM mission for bombers versus just fighters for example. There is something for missiles as well in the Full version. The RevDCM by glider had something called Attack support added.

I just want to eventually get all of the stuff in one, but I am just an entry level SDK hacker so I do not know when if it will get done if ever.

Dwindled down quite a bit. Rockinroger and faichele are really the main people left and me trying crazy things. Plenty of modules available. That is why roger has so much to do.
