[BtS-WoC] World of Civilization - Modding Standard

Yap, i played 1.20.
The installation placed is default(i don't change it)
No other mod load, and use the official 3.17 patch.
I'll try the patch first, and inform you later:)
 
visuals for terrain yield. Same as a few others. I saw that there is an option to allow old displays in the works so ill wait for that.
 
dunno if you were saying the patch fixed the problem but it does not.

By the way for the first time i played Civ 4, i got an assert error message.An it happened twice today:lol:.

These asset errors have been happening for me EVERYTIME I start a new game, custom and regular.
 
I feel I have to say something in defense of the WoC team. I've been beta testing for a while and know that these guys work their butts off on this project. They knew about some of the assert errors but not about the graphic errors some people are having with the video cards. They also knew that everyone wanted Revolution in WoC and they wanted it yesterday. They've been concentrating on getting that into 1.2 and that has been a full time job. So, they haven't been able to address all the asserts yet. People have been complaining that they've been waiting so long for 1.2 to come out, when is Revolution going to be in WoC, etc. That has been the objective, get Revolution into 1.2. So, as soon as they got Revolution to work in 1.2, it went out. All the time you have been waiting for 1.2, they have been trying to get Revolution to work in the module form. Jdog (the creator of Revolution) has been working on it too. Remember, these guys don't get paid for the work they do and we're pretty lucky they are doing this for us. They don't get a chance to play the game; they're too busy modding. You don't have to worry, they will address the bugs. Whenever you see the globe spinning too long, alt out and you will probably see an assert error. Click on ignore always and you will never get that assert again for the CURRENT game. Yes, you will get it again the next game. I think it's a small price to pay to have these fine additions in 1.2 and not have to wait any longer for 1.2 to come out. Sorry if this is too harsh, I just felt something had to be said.
 
I get asset errors throughout the game at random times. It is NOT a big deal, but I was letting Rocky know about it so that he could fix it in future updates.'

I beta tested this one too and I know how hard they work. I am not complaining about a free mod-pack. Just giving info.
 
For resources go to civ4/bts/mods/woc 1.20/assets/modules/resources.The Modules can be turned off by editing the MLF_CIV4ModularLoadingControls.xml with notepad.

There are mutiple locations in the respective folders under WoC 1.20/Assets/Modules. For the extra resources go to civ4/bts/mods/woc 1.20/modules/resources.

There is still one thing I would like to change though...is there a way to change the text fonts in the game and their size?
 
i downloaded WOC 1.2 yesterday and could not get the game to run under XXL or Gigantic Maps. So I changed the XML info on the Huge Map to match the Gigantic specs and now it works under Huge with Gigantic proportions. Also, I am STILL getting espionage (spies, etc) when I chose NO ESPIONAGE. I hate espionage so much that once those darn spies pop up in my options I just abandon the game, that's how much I hate it. I was under the impression this problem was going to be fixed. Please do so, because I will not play this wonderful mod as long as spies and such continue to appear. Also, I used the F1 domestic advisor screen to change all my cities simultaneously to concentrate on research and am unable to do that from that screen anymore. Suggestions? (Please fix the "no espionage" problem. Thanks. Gary

When I get this error, the game crashes.
 
Guys, serious problem. Don't know if this is intentional, but every time I train a military unit, my city loses some of its food storage. It evens loses population if the food loss is greater than the current storage.

If this is a bug, than ok, just correct it. But if this is intentional, this is serious. Impossible to play.

Ok, I have a question that is bugging the CRAP out of me! Why is it my cities will not grow over a size 6? Whenever I do reach a city level of 7, I get immigrants that leave, disappear to never be seen again, and the city drops back to level 6. I've been near the end of the game with a ton of level 6 cities and the same crap happens.

I turned off the revolutions mod and this still happens.

I've found a bug where just every once in a while I will be playing the game and then a unit becomes "locked". What I mean there is the unit movement and action buttons in the box disappear and I can ONLY move them via the mouse. I can't do ANYTHING with them.
