Something is very, very wrong with this mod, and I can't figure out where to start.
I'm playing on Linux through Wine, for what it's worth, though Vanilla, BUFFY, and C2C work fine. I have no clue how this could result in this behaviour, either.

When I start the game, for some reason, some capitals randomly get a massive number of hammers from the start. Sometimes this is me, sometimes this is other civs.

After starting the game, most of the time the starting wonders (Venus, caves, etc) will be immediately finished on turn 2, and some of the civs will have produced around 30 warriors using the hammers (with multiple production enabled).
Afterwards, the civ who got this is sometimes cursed with a negative-million hammer production.

This isn't reproducible from a savegame, if I reload an autosave it doesn't always happen again.
If I start a new map, this happens almost every time. I have no clue where to begin with debugging this, which logs would be relevant, or where to find them.

I've seen a massive number for city pillage too, but that was on 1.2.4/5.
That was a different bug. Got fixed in Patch 1.2.5.
That and the problem of @nullmana aren't related as believe.
Unfortunately nullmana's issue I cannot solve, since that is fare beyond my abilities (I am not a programmer)
The only thing I can suggest @nullmana is to try downloading again and reinstalling the mod. Maybe it was corrupted in some way.

Hey! Love love love the mod, but I have been having issues lately with the save file sizes. I played on a large map, the save file got to 4500KB+, and by the industrial era was crashing every turn. I switched to a standard map size, save file got to 2500KB+, and by the modern era it is crashing every turn or other turn. Does this have something to do with using Mega Pack?

Hey! Love love love the mod,
Happy to hear that!
:hatsoff:

I'm playing on gigantic, my save files are close to 10MP, soon entering the modern era and rarely have any crashes.

Does this have something to do with using Mega Pack?
Don't think so. More like your operating system.
What OS do you use? Is it a 32bit or a 64bit OS? How much RAM do you have?
And how exactly does the game crash? CTD or MAF?

Oh thank God, I knew it had to be something on my end since I saw nothing else about it on the threads. I started replaying this mod recently after a couple years (back when it was still RoM-AND2) and I remember why I loved it.

The 4500KB+ game was mainly MAF that popped at the start of turns; I tried Slyflyer's old MAF error fix (https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/i-fixed-the-maf-error-here-is-how.224178/) and it worked for a while, but eventually it became nearly impossible to conduct wars. On the standard map 2500KB+ it has mainly been CTD that occur when I try to pan across the map or try to set a production list for a city (shift causing more issues than control). I try to avoid doing the window ports as much as I can, but eventually I had to give in. Even then, I was only able to get so far.

For hardware I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz with 16GB installed RAM and a 64-bit operating system with a x64-based processor. OS is Windows 10 version 22H2 build 19045.3086.

Well, you shouldn't have issues with that OS and hardware. Does the same thing happen with other big mods or other large games too?
Actually, I'm clueless at the moment
The only thing I can recommend is the Joly Joker answer: "Try reinstalling the mod or even the whole game."

Nah, just this mod for Civ 4. That's why I figured it was a bug, setting, or something I was doing. I tend to avoid the viewscreen because I find it disorienting, but I've been playing without Revolutions on.

Just to confirm: you're able to play 10MB Gigantic map games without viewscreens or any MAF issues?

Just attempted run the mod at home after redownloading it. New gigantic map, try to open worldbuilder on the first turn, and immediatly I'm hit with a MAF error. 🥹

Is Graphics Paging enabled?

Yeah it is. I'm running my Beyond the Sword on Steam if that makes any difference.
Can you try to roll back to previous version from Steam? It says something like "beta version" or so but that was the official CD version, BtS 3.19.
Not sure if that helps though.

I'm not sure why but running the latest, patched version (from Steam, having changed the .ini to Mods\Chronicles of Mankind and just running) just crashes on launch. Makes it to Init XML and then crashes before Init Engine...

Any advice?
