Chance to spawn is 20%.Bug: The Herd Animal button that exists for captured prey from Hunters it pops up when you move the animal into your city. This button just butchers the animal, it doesn't spawn the resource.
I've seen a massive number for city pillage too, but that was on 1.2.4/5.That's certainly some overflow issue
That was a different bug. Got fixed in Patch 1.2.5.I've seen a massive number for city pillage too, but that was on 1.2.4/5.
Happy to hear that!Hey! Love love love the mod,
but I have been having issues lately with the save file sizes. I played on a large map, the save file got to 4500KB+, and by the industrial era was crashing every turn. I switched to a standard map size, save file got to 2500KB+, and by the modern era it is crashing every turn or other turn.
Don't think so. More like your operating system.Does this have something to do with using Mega Pack?
Oh thank God, I knew it had to be something on my end since I saw nothing else about it on the threads. I started replaying this mod recently after a couple years (back when it was still RoM-AND2) and I remember why I loved it.Happy to hear that!
I'm playing on gigantic, my save files are close to 10MP, soon entering the modern era and rarely have any crashes.
Don't think so. More like your operating system.
What OS do you use? Is it a 32bit or a 64bit OS? How much RAM do you have?
And how exactly does the game crash? CTD or MAF?
3.19 is large adress aware from the box.I tried Slyflyer's old MAF error fix (https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/i-fixed-the-maf-error-here-is-how.224178/) and it worked for a while
Well, you shouldn't have issues with that OS and hardware. Does the same thing happen with other big mods or other large games too?Oh thank God, I knew it had to be something on my end since I saw nothing else about it on the threads. I started replaying this mod recently after a couple years (back when it was still RoM-AND2) and I remember why I loved it.
The 4500KB+ game was mainly MAF that popped at the start of turns; I tried Slyflyer's old MAF error fix (https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/i-fixed-the-maf-error-here-is-how.224178/) and it worked for a while, but eventually it became nearly impossible to conduct wars. On the standard map 2500KB+ it has mainly been CTD that occur when I try to pan across the map or try to set a production list for a city (shift causing more issues than control). I try to avoid doing the window ports as much as I can, but eventually I had to give in. Even then, I was only able to get so far.
For hardware I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz with 16GB installed RAM and a 64-bit operating system with a x64-based processor. OS is Windows 10 version 22H2 build 19045.3086.
Nah, just this mod for Civ 4. That's why I figured it was a bug, setting, or something I was doing. I tend to avoid the viewscreen because I find it disorienting, but I've been playing without Revolutions on.Well, you shouldn't have issues with that OS and hardware. Does the same thing happen with other big mods or other large games too?
Actually, I'm clueless at the moment
The only thing I can recommend is the Joly Joker answer: "Try reinstalling the mod or even the whole game."
Actually 9.5MB save files at the momentJust to confirm: you're able to play 10MB Gigantic map games without viewscreens or any MAF issues?
Is Graphics Paging enabled?Just attempted run the mod at home after redownloading it. New gigantic map, try to open worldbuilder on the first turn, and immediatly I'm hit with a MAF error.![]()
Yeah it is. I'm running my Beyond the Sword on Steam if that makes any difference. Is Graphics Paging enabled?

Can you try to roll back to previous version from Steam? It says something like "beta version" or so but that was the official CD version, BtS 3.19.Yeah it is. I'm running my Beyond the Sword on Steam if that makes any difference.
