Bug Report

According to my search noone has mentioned this yet, however I guess most of you already realized, maybe its even meant to be like this. So dastur is the ultimate way to stop riots. Using it in a city instantly cancels any riot there
This is something I never tried doing  good catch.

Hmm this was not intended. ....Zoroastrianism is supposed to be an expensive and fragile religion with a high cultural value as it is in real. It was not meant to be an uber religion.

It is a feature-bug. We need to think about a solution...
Expensive for sure, fragile... uhmmm it spreads like mad from Heliopolis, and in 20 turns or so i got some 7 civs with Zoroastrianism and some 20-30 cities which boost my income (being Egypt your first GP is always a GProphet).
This happens also in Monarch and higher difficulties.

Another modification i did to the XMLs is to raise the Dastur and Magi to 4, but i'm talking about auto-spreading.

IMHO hands down, with that cost for a Dastur, it's a good side effect.

We will be lowering the rate for Zoroastrianism, Hinduist and Judaism respectively again in next release. I am wondering, once Islam and Christianity has been founded, certain civs should switch to their favorite religion. Didn't that happen for you?

Ive just found this one: If a unit has Flanking I & II & III promotions it wont ever level up again. Ive tried in world builder and the problem is not caused by Flanking III, this only happens if you have all three. (I know that in theory you couldnt have just the 3rd, but this shows that the problem is caused by having all 3 of them on a unit)
Because I have the feeling people missed it. Actually this is a really annoying bug.

Yes, with Christianity and Judaism. Usually i found Islam, for the Cuirassiers, and i carefully avoid to spread it, keeping the free missionary in capital, to use him when i get liberalism.
Zoroastrianism spreads so quickly that most civs continue to be Zoroastrian also if they found their religion: this is prolly due to the fact that an high number of civs is Zoroastrian, thus for improve relations, especially with the first world power (Egypt).
I forget to say that i always play as Egypt... the barbs african cities are the best a player can ask.
But in one of my games Christianity was founded by Barbs  and it doesn't spread.
I'm still speaking of the World map... BTW, some improvements for the speed?

I feel like playing a different mod here. At me zoroastrianism has close to zero spread even on world map (for example playing as choson (korea) hinduism spread from India to some of of my cities before zoro produced a few spreads around my holy city, and buddhism founded in japan spread to my capital...).
Meanwhile in custom games it is just zero. In my last game I think apart from my first 4-5 cities there was only 1 spread in about 500 turns and there are still plenty of cities with no religion. If I found a new city in the middle of only zoro cities, near the holy city, taoism or christianity spreads to it in 2-3 turns (those are mine too).
I also experienced that islam has a very low chance of getting a major religion on world map simply because by the time its founded there are usually very few cities left without a religion.

Korea is not central to lot of cities as Egypt is.
By the time i found Zoro i got OB with all the known civs, and this helps.
Usually is the first religion founded, and India found Hindu (what else?), but it's too far to influence my neighbors.
I think those are the keys to the fast spreading in my games.

A suggestion for next release:
the F5 screen is almost impossible to open from the mid-game on.
Can you put in a choice to have only the default F5? (of course with the combat experience).
Same for F1.
The HoF mod has this choice, i think you can easily implement it.

For some reason when I load a saved game or make a new one on Civ4 warlords total realism I cant see any interface, never had this problem before, solution?

Have you modified or moves any files? Looks like your python functions aren't loading properly.

It can do no harm to reinstall the mod if you still have the installer at hand (or re-download it). It will keep your saves intact.

In most cases yes - have seen Euro civs full of hindu/buddhism cities switching to Christianity immediately after I infected only one of their cities. But there is one annoying thing - conflict of fav civ with fav religion. I encountered Spain once that had Buddhism+Theocracy (their fav civ)... try converting them to Christianity - no luck till end of game :( .

I think those are the keys to the fast spreading in my games.

One more hint though - make sure to infect Persians with Zoroastrianism (their fav religion) before they get infected with Hinduism. Also trying a nice leap with Zoro missionary towards Turks/Mongols way before Islam is founded can make nice relations. Zoroastrianism in Europe practically spreads by itself but watch out for Isabella founding Buddhism and/or Mansa Musa founding Christianity/Taoism/Islam.

Hello there,

I have Civilization IV/Italian Version and the last patch, but I cannot play the Realism 2.1(+2.1.3) mod because i lose many 'writes'. Some (lost) 'writes' are directly on the menus, some others (lost) are on the game itself. Everything is like '(.)' in the game, in the menus the writes are just blank.

2.0 mod works correctly, please I wanna play this (2.1) mod. :(

You see, we've added much new content, and we just can't translate it to all languages, just because we don't have them all - we have English, French and German translations available. I don't know if it is possible with your version, but if you can switch to English, everything should display all right.

How can I change the language?
Anyway 'Sevomod' does work and sometimes it get the default english language (like for new civs or technologies). I don't know why Total Realism does not do that. :(

It's a problem related to Total Realism, no problems even with 'Fall from Heaven' that is all in english.

I don't know actually, as I have an English version and never had to change languages. :( I recommend checking in the .ini file.

Well, it's just that we can't test our mod on all possible languages - because we don't have Civ in all those languages. That's the same problem as with Steam versions - we just don't have one to test our mod on, and thus, unfortunately, we can't support that Civ version.

I really don't know why every mod works, and this does not work. I don't understand why it work with french versions and not with the italian. It's normal to see english 'writes' like in other mods, but this particular mod is . .. .. .. .. .ing with 'every' menu. For example 'Quit to Windows' is 'BLANK', I don't why is BLANK.

It's a shame that I cannot play this version, I don't know what you have done so strange in this version.. since 2.0a works perfectly.
