Bug Report

Dear Mr. Hawkwood,

Thank you for your swift reply. I have done as you directed and am playing the mod!

For those who may be Steam customers and using Win 7 the location of the file that needs to be modified (in my case, at least) =

C:Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization iv warlords\Warlords\Civ4Warlords.exe

CFF Explorer downloaded, installed, and worked like a charm. All the directions were exact and easy to follow.

Thanks! I am playing now, and will post if MAF reoccurs.

To the Total Realism mod team,

This is a beautiful MOD that breathes new life into this great game. Thanks so much for all your hard and thoughtful work. And thanks again, Walter. Just amazing.

The mod itself is magnificent. Thanks to the creators of Total Realism. :goodjob:
I've a problem with the interface. When I press Alt+Ctrl+O, the interface options that appear are the standard ones not of BUG Mod. What should I do ?

You can just access them from the game menu on the upper right corner of the screen - "Interface options". The hotkey is not required to access them.

I have tried this as well but I can't see options like Archer Bombard etc in the interface menu.

I don't really understand what you are expecting to find there - BUG, as in Unaltered Gameplay mod, is by definition mostly interface tweaks.
Oops ! I mixed BUG with something else. :crazyeye: Sorry !

And... If I want to give any suggestion for the mod, where should I post it ?

The mod thread or our dedicated forum sound like best places for that. But TBH, don't expect it to be implemented any time soon - since we're currently mid-BtS conversion, we have lots of stuff we HAVE to do to get the mod working, and only then we will be thinking of how to improve it. Lots of our own ideas were put on hold for now.

Ok ! I just had few requests :-
1) Jaguar & Eagle Warriors of Aztecs should be equally strong with few differences in bonuses & weaknesses. They were equally feared in Meso America.
2) I don't agree with the spread of Islam after conquest of cities. Why not increasing culture of conquered those cities by 3-5% temporarily.
3) And inquisition was mainly done in Christendom to remove heretic beliefs so other religions may not have those inquisitors but they may have 1 unhappiness instead of 2 from non state religion when having civics like organized religion or theocracy.
Anyways these were just my thoughts. If you think they're valid then you may include them in the future version. Thanks !

Gotta disagree with your third point, Babri. They were only called Inquisitors in Christendom, but most religions had sects that went around their cities persecuting "heretics".

Well I searched on wikipedia & found that inquisition was done by Christians.
In other religions heretics were persecuted but I think those activities were mostly done to remove sects not religions. ;)

Downloaded 2.4.1 and it wouldn't start installation (says it might be corrupted download or something but I'm pretty sure it wasn't).
The solution is very simple.
1) Open My computer
2) Click tools, then folder options.
3) In view tab untick the 'Hide extensions for known types'.
4) Now rename the installation file & add .exe instead of .zip or .rar or any other extension.
5) Now you can run the setup. If you want to hide the extensions tick the Hide extensions again in the folder options. :)

Thanks for the replies. The file already has an .exe ending. The file is 370MB (I actually dled it twice). Here is the screenshot:
