Bug reports and technical issues

It happen in every 3000 BC game I've tried so far. I play on monarch/normal with tech trading and time victory disabled if that changes anything.
Also during game announcement that America made peace with X pops up from time to time although there's no America yet and it seems that the independents make peace with the mentioned civ.
Sounds like your game constants are messed up somehow, I suggest deleting the mod folder and a new clean checkout.
 
What does no technology brokering actually do?
Techs are still trade-able, but there are really bad prices. AI to AI seems okay though.

Also, AI values techs way above cities. In a war ending diplomacy with Arabia, they wanted both of my North African cities that I had captured from the Moors, but were happy to end the war when I offered Meditation.

'No Tech brokering' means that you can't sell/trade a tech that you didn't research yourself.
If tech brokering is enabled you could say buy Divine Right from Mali (as Spain or so) and then resell/trade that tech to the rest of Europe.
 
Okay... I say that is good.

I still wonder why AI values tech so much. Won't trade it without an insanely large discount to player and as mentioned before will demand a city to end a war, but when given the option of a tech (even fishing or sailing) will take that deal with no problem.
 
I don't get anything but also notice the nasty way that Turkey's capital seems to end up in Trabzon or Khersones too much. I have also noticed that cities in resistance don't seem to flip as well.

what is VD? what is SVN revision?
when i started that game i was using version as of 7/23. after the crash I updated to todays version as of 7/24 but nothing changed

i also recently experience a similar crash with russia
 
VD is Varietas Delecitat (or something like that).
Did you start a new game when on today's revision (version) where you got the crash?

I have not gotten one so far in my Spain game that was started today. Based on what I see in the change log with my long 3 days of coding experience, I believe it was fixed, though old save-games will still have the problem.

How recent was the Russia crash?
 
i started today with version 7/23, got a crash. updated to 7/24 and still got the crash (note that 7/23 and 7/24 may be same versions).
had a crash with russia like 3 days ago. before moors were added. but then started a new russian game with same patch and didnt get a crash
 
Well it seems I did not test it enough and even after new checkout (after deleting old DoC folder) the fast teching independents are here. It must be something related to the custom scenario since when I try play a scenario it works fine but with custom scenario it's there again. :confused:
 
Well, I don't know what's causing this, but I'm not really willing to provide support if you change something.
 
I did not change anything in the mod (at least that I know of), only thing after new checkout I've done is allowing custom scenarios to be played in the .ini (as I like to play with tech trading off).
I've tried deleting everything again and did checkout to revision 390 (before moors) and everything works fine but after update to 391 and higher it's there again but again only when I play using custom scenario option. Although as it seems I'm the only one with this problem, I'll try reinstalling whole game just to be sure.

On the 7/24 crash, did you start a new game with that patch or was it still the old save?
You can try updating again and where it says "at revision" at the bottom followed by a number. If that number is 395, try a new game and see if it still crashes.
 
I noticed a bug with holy shrines appearing, on example of Islam. Playing as Byzantium i moved some forces near an Arab's spawn spot and attacked when they appeared. I managed to beat them but they didn't disappear and on the next turn Babylon flipped and became their capitol. The point is that they had islam missionaries and started to spread it but in reality Islam never was created as it is normally and no shrine exists(as on pics, they built Mekkah a bit later). I saw it also once earlier, with christianity. Anyone has seen anything like this?

Missing civilization name: The Moors when they are Democratic.
Suggestion: Azawagh Republic (when they have more than 5 cities)
Popular Democratic Morocco (if Islamic and 5 or less cities)
Moroccan Union (Secularist, 5 or less cities)
Maghreb Republic (when Christian)

it was an old save. i'll start a new game ok. also, now my spain game is crashing too which i started earlier today. check it out if you want, next turn is a crash
